I think the 69ers are gayer.

Oh, man, you nearly had me laughing, thinking you had changed to a completely non-topical non-offensive question about football.
I bet if you ask most of the team members if they consider themselves "gay icons," they will give you a clear answer. This may involve violence, so be careful.
The 49ers organization has supported many worthwhile causes, including LGBT ones, and AIDS organizations, womens groups, youth groups, etc. So I would say they try to be good community members. I have helped with their annual "Until There's a Cure" fund-raising games.
Ignoring what I assume to be an implied slur, an expansion team would, by definition, probably have to be OUTSIDE of San Francisco. I don't think the Bay Area could support three NFL teams.

I don't know anything about the 49ers. I know a whole lot more about the 69ers. Football is not my sport of choice. I prefer baseball. I would not follow a gay themed football team. And the Polk District means nothing to me, how about being a little more general and call them the Stonewall Rainbows?
