I'm watching 8mm and just realized that a lot of Christians would be against it. We all have different standards for what we see as acceptable.

Christians: are there any factors that would make you walk out of a movie? Sex, violence, language? I am pretty liberal minded when it comes to these things, and I'm curious if the movies I watch (and enjoy) may be seen as a bad thing by other Christians.

Do you just reject them on a level of personal preference, or would you go as far as saying it's a sin for Christians to watch certain movies?

Under Queens Elizabeth I and II we have been Elizabethan. Under Victoria, Victorian. Under Edrward, Edwardian etc. So if we had a King Brian, what would we become? Does someone decide the term or is it left to popular culture to decide?

a sin is every bad deed, right?
if so, then the death of jesus must purify us from all our sins whatever they are?

When human beings were spread out, we needed certain metaphysical practices. Like the Tibetan symbol of the Wheel of Life, (swastika), showing counter-clockwise movement. And the Hopi symbol of the Wheel of Life showing clockwise movement. These things were necessary I believe in their day. But in our modern world? Shouldn't we at least use Both geological symbols, whatever the type of symbol we are trying to use? When doing metaphysical practices?

Help, English yahooers--I just saw the film THE QUEEN, and wondered about the English funeral custom of "sitting up" with the deceased person in the home. This has been shown in a Mike Leigh film, and in the series "Absolutely Fabulous".
Do people still have the deceased relative at home, in the coffin, and sit up all night? (Similar to an Irish Wake).
Is the failure of the Royal Family, or at least Prince Charles and the 2 princes to do this for Diana really the reason that all the million people showed up to mourn her in London, when they saw no one was there to do so?

God gives a galaxy full of planets to live on(yes,we need to terriform many of them).

He gave us a spirit,so we would be living, breathing, active life forms with the ability to make our own decisions;rather than being robots.

He starts us on a planet that's just right to support life

He gives air to breath

He gives food to eat and liquid to drink

He gives us bodies that are nice and symmetrical, and plesent to look at.

He gives a host of other life o engage with and plenty of things to explore and find so we never get board

He gives us His word so we know what He expects of us;He even came down in human form once.

Is this the way you treat the Creator that's given you everything;with contempt, hate, disrespect and disregard for His authority?

My two aunts and my favorite cousin have turned into a Jehovah's Witness. And I feel uncomfortable about it. They are constantly shoving their beliefs down my throat when I was in Arkansas for a week, this was a vacation. Everything that came out of their mouth was about their beliefs. They even tried to brainwash me and I said no, I like celebrating holidays. They even wanted me to go to peoples' porches and doorsteps to talk about Jehovah's Witness things and try to brainwash others. I am really sick of this and I want to know how I can tolerate them and their religion-bashing.

These are two distinct areas. The navel power spot , two inches below the belly button. The solar plexus just under the breast bone. Is this teaching that they are one and the same I'm seeing, a means to attempt or block spiritual experience?

For some people religion could be a necessary phsychological crutch. The point being in some cases could the removal of peoples religios beliefs be more harmful to their mental health(in terms of stability) than an improvement.

I am not saying in all cases, to put the question simply:

Do you think there are people that would not be able to cope without religion?
