Is there a deception taking place today in regard to the navel and solar plexus chakra?

These are two distinct areas. The navel power spot , two inches below the belly button. The solar plexus just under the breast bone. Is this teaching that they are one and the same I'm seeing, a means to attempt or block spiritual experience?

I have not heard anyone teaching that they are they same. The navel power spot your are referring to, approximately 2 inches below the belly button, is called the "tan-t'ien" in Chinese and "hara" in Japanese. It is actually a secondary chakra, not a primary. This is considered the place of original Life Force, where the pool of energy from outside the body originates and blends with our internal energy. It is the "navel," so to speak, of the etheric body.

The primary chakra with which you are confusing this one is located at the pubic bone. It is the second of the seven primary energy centers.

Be positive, perhaps there is a misunderstanding not a deception
--as you know, very advanced people are able to enlarge each energy centre (chakra) so the centres overlap and "unite"; for the uninitiated it is a goal, seemingly impossible to achieve and no one can block our spirit, but our mind. Be well.
