We Catholics do not pray to Mary, we ask her to pray for us as shown in the Hail Mary, which is biblical. Luke1:28 &42

The Hail Mary
"Hail Mary, full of grace! the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

"Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen."

All of our worship and prayers are to Jesus Christ God Almighty


We say "our" Father in the Lord's Prayer. By saying "our" we indicate that prayer is not a solitary act. We pray with others.

With whom do we pray? We pray with Jesus Christ. Not only does Jesus teach us to pray, but he prays with us and joins our prayer to his own.Because we pray with him, our public prayers often end with the words like these: " through Jesus Christ, your only Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns, forever and ever." We pray with Jesus Christ.

But "our" Father means we pray with others too; for example, with all those baptized in Christ.

Wouldn't that be a reason to try to actually learn about it?

If we lived the idiotic things some of you still spout, we'd be living in the dark age burning witches, selling women like cattle, torturing "infidels" and other horrific things not mentionable on this site.

Don't you understand that we've moved on from superstition?

If you want to believe in your god, go right ahead, but at least be educated enough to understand that a magician is just a person doing tricks and not something evil waiting to suck out your soul through the television screen.

In today's society, I really don't see anything wrong with it at all. I mean what does it matter if you're from a different race?

I think it's about that connection on a deeper level, and not your physcial appearance. But someone told me that Christians believe interracial couples are going to hell, or is this only applicable for some specific denomination of Christianity? I remember mormonism being mentioned, but am not sure, so would like clarification.

Why would God want to do that, it's not like they've actually "done" something sinful. They just love each other.

i want them to see what they truly believe is brainwashing and very self destructive. they raised me in it for 18 years. very hardcore! they let NOTHING slip. they follow thier man made rules to the letter and forced me to fake believe it myself. i left thier house 7 years ago and i cant shake it. it is like a demon that haunts me and i am callous towards them and i know i shouldnt be but i can honestly say that i have never learned ONE heart felt valuable lesson FROM THEM. they always pointed me to the religion to find the answers they are either too scared to say or ignorrant. im....sorry. just many years of pain. i want them to leave but i know i cant make thier decisions for them. besides my own prayers, can anyone send a healing energy thier way to STOP THIER SELF DESTRUCTION! .............................. )O( VIX

My husband and I are getting sealed next month, and our 2 year old daughter will be sealed to us too. I know she doesn't have to have long sleeves on her dress, as they sell them on the LDS websight with short sleeves for sealings, but can they be sleeveless (not spaghetti straps, but more like a tanktop that goes to the shoulders)?
