For atheists, what is the point of it all? I mean if life is nothing but 40-80 years of taking breaths and heart beat, buying a few music albums, chasing after a few fashion fads, work some random jobs and then poof nothing, doesnt that make life the most stupid and pointless thing ever.

And as an atheist, why obey any law or elevate your character at all if there is no point to it all - if we are all just stardust and nothing else. Why not just live life grabbing and taking whatever you can with the short amount of time you have?

Maybe thats why children of atheist tend to dress up in black and hang out at the mall being delinquents cause they were never told life was about something more

A cult technichaly is a group of people that believe the same thing. Now it is a group of people that follow one man and that man's teachings. So how is jehovah's witness a cult seeing that they follow only god's word? God is perfect, man isn't.

having as many children. What this seems to mean is that eventually we will be voted out, even in our own countries. I hope that makes sense to some of you. Call me racist if you like, but I think that it is in our best interest to keep it our nice little secret.

People always say that we are abominations. Ok...And what makes us that? Other than our love is not "gods will" or "natural".

What happens when the Watchtower Society has "New Light"? Let's say that you were Disfellowshipped for questioning the Society?....What if later "New Light" showed the Watchtower Society that what you thought was in fact accurate. ( Like " I didn't believe that Armageddon would come by 1975" )....Would the Elders who disfellowshipped, you and the Jehvahs Witnesses who shinned, you be bloodguilty of stumbling you, and this inable to receive Gods blessing and thus lose their salvation?

Or are you speaking of people being kinder? Well that is definetly not true, more people are divided on issues like bipartisan politics, religion on a global basis, the Government not trusting anyone by wanting to install cameras to watch are every move
Of course Global Warming becoming worse.to the World Bank and the United Nations, from 1 to 2 billion humans are now malnourished, indicating a combination of insufficient food, low incomes, and inadequate distribution of food. This is the largest number of hungry humans ever recorded in history

They are businesses in the business of selling fairy tales as science. Some of them like the Catholic Church and Watchtower Society run large investment firms. They should be taxed like any other business.

I know nowdays that many parents are very proud and happy with their gay children, but it seems this is more true with mothers when it comes to a gay son than with a gay daughter. I can see how moms would love to have a son who dress well, keeps the house neat and well decorated, and enjoys shopping. And the same thing with dads being more ok with a gay daughter than a gay son.

Anyone else notice this?

Oh no! Whatever shall we do if we can't get fundies to believe in global warming?!!!
I really lose sleep over stuff like this.
Strange, how one can keep abreast of current trends in fundie thought just by reading atheist postings. But then, who else cares what fundies think?
Anyway,so let's have it - what's the big low-down on fundies-don't-believe-in-global-warning-and-boy-does-that-make-me-mad? Was this something a tv evangelist kicked off? What's the narrative? Any time-line on this controversy?

So in the world today, there are certain standards people live by. You know, don't kill someone else - and if someone does, then they get sent to prison. Etcetera etcetera. So who decided what was right and wrong? A lot of it seems similar to the 10 Commandments and that sort of thing, murder is just an example. So did it stem from these? Are the rules we live by now some which originate from Biblical times? And if the Bible is a load of tosh, then are the extreme minority (those who are just totally against it, and im not accusing anyone here of that) ignoring it completely? Do they think it's right to murder, for the sake of going against the Bible? If not, where does their "moral code" come from?

Yes if you don't accept God's gift of salvation you will go to hell, yes we are all sinners BUT there's more than God's wrath.God sent his son to pay the penalty for our sins.if you accept the fact that you are a sinner, abandon that sin and give yourself over to God's gracious hand you will be free from sin. When you die there will be no need to fear hell.Just as Christ was raised from the dead you too will be raised and live for eternity IF YOU WILL ACCEPT GOD'S GIFT.Please I ask you now to do so.don't wait until it's too late.PLEASE
