do you know what is right or wrong? even on a common sense level??
is killing someone right or wrong? did you need the 10 commandments to figure that out?
well if you KNOW it is wrong...and you DO IT..then in the Bible as well as in Webster's Dictionary...YOU SINNED...
you can look at this as an atheist..or with a religious tone..
Webster Mirriam Dictionary does NOT CARE about religion its only job is to define the word..so even on secular levels with NO degree of religion...sin is the result of knowing that something is wrong..and still doing it...if you need to say...against the law...then fine..still...you broke the law...you sinned...because you KNEW the law..and still broke it!
we are all sinners and due to Christ's atonement..we are all capable of Christ's atonement by which he has paid for our sins...PROVIDED we are sensitive to that and we accept his payment and live in accordance to his laws and so that we may receive mercy for that which WE did that caused him to bleed from every pore at Gethsemane as well as on the Cross.

Would anti-christians want thieves to be a protected lifestyle?
Are liars good?
Should adultery be normal in society?
Should governments decide what is acceptable to
say,write,and/or read?
What if the Government decides a group of people are invalid
and should be exterminated?
The bible spells out what is sin.
Sin is bad.

The concept is void. Definitionally, it means a violation of god's wishes, but since there is no such thing as god, there can be no sin.

God being Holy , pure , and perfect ,created man in his image but , he gave us a free will . Eve and Adam willingly chose to disobey the word of God and ate of the fruit of the tree of Knowledge . To disobey God is a sin or crime against God . Some examples of sin ( swearing ,disobedience , murder , lust , the love of money , adultery , any thing contrary to the word of God ) You name it we've a lot of them many ,many times . Their must be a payment for sin . When some one is guilty of a crime , they must stand before a judge and the judge will punish the guilty , either $ or jail time . God will only judge us ,OUR sins will send us to hell as payment for those sins. Through Gods infinite Mercy , he gave us a way out through his Son Jesus . Jesus suffered immensely , shed his innocent blood , and died on the cross for those who will trust and believe in Jesus as their personal savior and obey him .Romans 10:17 " Faith commeth by hearing , hearing by the word of God ".
