I love the musical 1776! It's about John Adams and the difficult birthing of the Declaration of Independence. I have a tape of the original Broadway cast. They used to broadcast the movie every year at this time. Unfortunately, I don't own a copy of the film--yet.

Have you seen the movie or the play? What's your opinion?

My sisters were having a stupid fight about something - I was telling my boyfriend about it via email. He had lunch with a co-worker and she told him about a similar situation she had - he thought it was a funny coincidence and forwarded my email to her. I don't know this coworker at all and was PISSED that he forwarded the email. Now I wouldn't have minded if he in conversation relayed some of this but the fact that he forwarded the email, which had names, email forwards from the sisters, etc made me feel like he shared too much personal information. Am I wrong to get upset??

That is the ninth commandment and no one is perfect with the 10 commandments so here's an interesting question?Have you ever heard of this before if you are looking for a new job never say anything in a job interview that you had been fired and what should people say if they get asked by the interviewer and we know that honesty is the best answer ?

I mean, without bitter experiences to 'bolster' inner reasonings, how can one make such an important decision?
I don't mean the rote reasoning, that he/she tells everyone else, I mean the one that's brewing underground.

What, if any other reason is there?

There's gotta be one. Every religion, sect, cult, and kissin' cousins social group insists that they and only they have the true path to salvation.

So c'mon, y'all, I've been out in on the cold long enough now. I'll do anything that doesn't involve -- um -- gimme a minute, I'm thinking....

Ok, so there's no bottle. But there is a message :) I need to get my lazy butt off the computer and clean up real nice for tomorrow. Especially because my daughter is coming over - YAY!!! I don't know how long it's gonna take or whether I'll be online again tonight, so I want to send this message now.

I hope that all of you have a very happy and SAFE Independence Day!! Please be especially careful if there are kids around and you have fireworks, and please don't let anyone drive drunk! I hope you all enjoy the holiday :)

It is known that homosexuality is common in herding animals. Also consider the fact that there are 1,500 animal species that practice homosexuality.

The authors of the bible were in herding tribes. So isn't it safe to say they were practicing what they see every day - gods own creation?

Don't believe me? Read the article here. Or google "homosexuality in animals" if you are afraid to click a link. http://www.health.am/sex/more/1500-animal-species-homosexuality/

Grrrr many of you have told me what i already know. There are maany facts explaining the original subtance and the Daughter outcome. BUT even with new technology you have to take into account that it CANNOT be possible to CREATE ANY TRUTH in radiometric dating because the demensions are wayyy off. Im am now and forever a Christian. There are some questions needing to be answerd but creating speculations is really just wasting life itself. IF I DIED TO DAY AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS NO GOD AND RELIGION WAS ALL BULL I STILL WOULD RATHER LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFE THEN any other life. questions.comments.ideas.

I don't believe in God myself, & I just recently became atheists because I find a lot of people in church don't practice what they preach & this man just told my best friend this.

This 1 man I know is so mean that earlier when my friend told him about the plots & that she needed him to be around to protect her, he said that she wants to get rape & that she's looking for getting rape. & he said she may as well enjoy being raped since she likes it rough. & then he laughed in her face. Now is that a true church man or what?

Islam is not indited when a Muslim robber kills a possible witness to his crime, nor is Christianty indited when a Christian man beats his wife cause she said something that upset him. Neither scenario is is causally linked to the religious doctrine of the criminals.

A religion is indited by the violence committed from its followers, when that violence is inspired by the doctrines of the religion. Heres the litmus test:

But for the doctrines of this religion, would this type of violence occur?

Jihad is another species of violence, like murder in self defense, or robbery based on poverty. BUT FOR ISLAM, we wouldnt have people screaming ALLUAH AKBAR and then blowing up tourists in Yemen.

The Spanish tourists in Yemen were not blown-up because they all slept with his wife.

The Spanish tourists in Yemen were not blown-up because they had valuables the Jihadists wanted to confiscate for the afterlife.

The tourists were blown-up for Allah. Islam convicted.

I know I'm going to get a lot of fluffy answers to this one, but I will appreciate most those who give this one serious thought.

If you want to use a scientific model I will be most interested in how you explain the apparent need of self-awareness to (usually) form coherent thought-structures (ie personality).

If you want to use a religious model, I will be most interested in how your explanation produces a personality.

Thanks in advance for your efforts.

I am just curious as a moderate believer in god. I have this worry that too many people take their love of god to an obsessive level. esp on this website.
