Just wondering. Which you prefer.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to start a "Was Jesus an extraterrestrial?" kind of discussion. That's not my point here.

And I don't mean "x-files" aliens, w/ spacecrafts, funny voices, conspiracies, phasers, etc., but intelligent organic lifeforms like ourselves, living in a planet somewhere, maybe even without the abilities to travel deep in space, like us.

The universe is so wonderful and vast that for me it would be impossible to think that Earth is the only planet that sustains life, so this question seems pretty valid for me.

If they exist, what's their role in the plans God has, at least according to Catholic religion?

A friend says that "aliens, as well as dinosaurs, are demons, so thinking about them as natural beings is like following Satan". And I was like "mmm okay!!!" because dinosaurs existed and I don't think they were demons, and maybe you people don't think that either.

i honestly couldn't put it any other way so i'm sorry if i offended... but i wanna get some info into how bein born gay is possible when only heterosexuals can concieve?

I always figured it was nature vs nurture and a psychological thing.

so any insight would be appreciated.

Before my transition, I was a depressed, miserable person because I was seen through a body that I didn't identify with.

Now, since my transition, I've seen the world through a different perspective. I"ve seen the discrimination, the hate, the ignorance, and the things people take for granted, like walking into a public restroom. Transition was supposed to make me happy, and I am happy in the fact that I am finally who I was meant to be, but I've also become jaded, bitter, angry and frustrated with society and the closemindedness I see around me.
Part of me just wants to be "stealth" and live my live as a guy, and be an "average Joe", but part of me wants to be out and educate people about these things, so as to stop the ignorance, but that means putting myself at risk and exposure.

How do I get rid of this anger inside me?

The funeral is over and I just heard about the death because I live far away. I want to let her know that I'm thinking of her and I want to do something special. Any unique ideas? She lives close to her mother--should I send flowers and a dish to their homes? Please help! I dont know what is appropriate.

I read a very general comment that women only use the 'excuse'
"It's my body so mind your own business"......Do you realize that is not the only reason we are pro-choice? As I stated before, until we have the same rights as men (and WE STILL DON'T) abortion will remain an unfortunate option. YOU can buy your contraceptives over the counter, WE don't have that privilege. Insurance companies don't pay for all forms of contraceptions but they'll cover your Viagra? Do you see what I'm getting at? MEN have just as much responsibility and more rights than we do as to the options available to us to protect ourselves. Yeah, we can go out and buy a condom but that's YOUR job as well. Oh, those are available OTC......

I was wondering about this. Women want equality, right? So they have to accept the good and the bad. I want an answer out of the typical scope of 'men are bigger, the woman starts it, etc'.

Should this be socially accepted...in self defense? Also I'm not familiar on this cultural aspect, but do are women encouraged to hit back if the man strikes first? I want a serious answer.

I copied the following from an answer given to another Y/A question:

"... if there was actually "intelligent design," only one planet, one star, and one satellite (the moon) would be necessary. The organization of the universe is in direct conflict with the idea of "intelligent design."

Every moring before my husband leaves he comes into the bedroom to kiss me goodbye. Well, I keep having this dream after he leaves I sort of wake up and hear someone in our house. I am scared at first, but for some reason I can't seem to wake up fully. In the dream, it usually ends up being my husband in our house, but after I find out it is him, I still hear noise coming from the house, like someone is still in there. This is a very realistic dream and I have it almost every other day or more. Anyone have any idea why I keep dreaming this?

What should I do? I'm inviting about 12 people, and it's going to be at my house. Unfortunately, we can't go anywhere, and we have to stay inside the house. So what fun things can we do at home? I don't want anyone to be bored. The party is going to be for 3 hours.

Even if we DID choose to be gay (which I don't believe I or any one else did) and there was no genetic or scientific evidence to say that it was not a choice (yet there is), why does it matter?

If you chose it, would it make it any less valid in the eyes of the law? Don't people also CHOOSE to be religious (be it Buddhist, Muslim or Christian)? Don't they CHOOSE their sexual/marriage partners?

I honestly want to know. Why would CHOOSING to be gay be so awful in comparison to being BORN gay?

I am a young atheist borned to a christian family. My parents have looked down upon me all of my life. They have wasted their time and money investing in my older siblings and everything has backfire. First, my two older sisters moved out and got engaged to wrong financees and now they are doing all sort of things. Unfournately, my brother ahead of me became what seems to be permanent disable (lost both kidneys) so hes pretty much screwed. Me meanwhile have kept my head up, pay attention in school while my parents ingnored me. I have been recommended (1 of 3 in my class) to take courses at major universities while still in high school to get credits and all of a sudden my parents are starting to act like they actually care about me but I think its only because their investement fail. My mother is forcing me to join all sort of activities and get a job but all thats going to do is distract me from school plus it will take up my studying time....

I can't take it any longer I mean I see black people getting beat up on everybody hates Chris racist remarks on south park racist jokes on family guy and all others I can't take it. I mean what is wrong with black people why do people have to make jokes. They are not different. They've got the same blood as us it's still red. South Park and Family guy only do it because they don't have anything better to do. Racism on tv is just as worst as racism in real life. I'm a white myself but I support Martin Luther King but people still do it now on tv. I can't take it. And just look at this.

That would be nicer to Jesus, so he wouldn't have to be crucified. I don't feel bad when insects or arachnids die, but I don't like humans to die. Insects and arachnids are sinless by default (they don't know anything) so they would also be a perfect sacrifice.
