i was watching somthing , and also reading somthing, anyway to some it is claimed for john the baptist to be the real messiah , i have heard this before,so does anyone have any info regaurding this ?

I have been having a lot of trouble with my faith lately and have been questioning everything. How can I be sure that God is there listening to me? It seems that no matter how hard I pray things keep going wrong or not happening the way they should. I prayed for my husband to get the job he needed to get to pay the bills. He didn't get it but later got a job that cut his pay by hundreds. It seems that my prayers are answered all wrong. How can I be sure God has anything to do with it? Blind faith isn't working very well anymore.

Wouldn't you be bored out of your FRICKIN MIND???

I would be. I mean, what does he do? Nothing. All Day. All Night. Nothing. Floods, Wars, Earthquakes.. (Actually, if he causes them, that would be pretty cool to be God and make that kinda stuff happen).

But like, watching grass grow. Watching the earth spin. Whoo Hooo.. But holy crap... Listening to whining people that are always needing stuff. Nobody is ever happy with him. That would just suck. No wonder he doesn't answer prayers, he stopped listening as soon as people learned how to talk.

do you beleive that jesus wanted us to follow our heart and learnings to do what we think is correct. or did he want us to follow every word of the bible like mindless zombies. i have been wondering this for years. i go to a catholic school and still can not seem to figure this one out. because the way i see it is that he gave us all differences so we could be unique and beautiful in our own way, not so we can all strive to be the same.

I love the Halloween season. I'm not really all that big on the whole trick or treating aspect but I love the decorations, Halloween parties, cool, crisp air and beautiful leaves. I also love going to the cider mills and "boo at the zoo". The Halloween tv specials are great too. Oh- and the smell of pumpkin candles.

I say that Halloween is my favorite holiday but that isn't entirely true. Its not really Halloween that I like its the whole month of October leading up to Halloween that I love. I get so excited when I start seeing Halloween stuff in the stores! =)

Plus, right after Halloween comes my birthday, Thanksgiving and then Christmas season.

Do you like Halloween season too?

If your mother was not married to your father back in the time that the OT was all taken seriously, you could not get into heaven. Original sin perhaps? But how is that fair? A child cannot help his parents unmarried state...shouldn't it have been the parents, not the child who got the short end of the stick?
