"Only God knows."

Good Gosh..!

Isn't this one of the deadest of dead-ends in reasoning? I say it's one of the cheesiest and cheapest cop outs ever devised by god-believers.

What do you think?

I think this is something you say when somebody asks you, "Do you think George will ever get married?"

Lighten up.

I think those expressions are fine. I don't see any problem with them. A believer in God would not be lacking in reasoning by saying "Only God knows". That would be illogical for an atheist to say. The expression "Good Gosh" is the same thing. It's a praise to God. By the way, I'm agnostic.

Can any man expect to have the knowledge of God? If so, that man has a very small vision of God.....

Consider also that one need not know all there is to know about science, to believe in science.

With regard to either, there are times when an honest man must say, "I don't know" But that is not to deny that such things do not exist, whether God or science...

Your right it's our way of saying we don't know but God does.
Just like atheist will say 'science has proven' but when you ask them to prove that because of the four huge unexplained questions in evolution, they say 'nothing can be proven'
There you go, we all have our cop outs.

Yes that comes in Cop-out tactics #8.

The ultimate cop-out is,

"Mysterious ways" and "We can't measure god in our terms".

No, not a cop out
Just a way of saying: "I don't know."

using God in any kind of debate or arguement is a fallacy because it is not applied to everyone.

It is a way of saying that they are still right, and they don't have to prove it.
SO THERE!
