When ypou refer to the church I presume you are refering to the catholic church which has made meny people saints ( and by the example a few non people. Since the original meaning of saint referred to those who were saved I do not know how the Catholic church can do something only God can do. I believe it is more of an honorific.

Other archangels, such as Gabriel and Raphael, are also classified as Catholic saints. It could be that they're considered saints because they're known to be in Heaven.

Catholics are into unscriptural titles like "father" and "saint." There is no verse in the Bible that refers to Michael as "Saint."

My church would never say that. You might want to state what denomination you are referring to and get answers from them.
