That may never be answered. The DaVinci Code (I'm guessing that's what inspired this question?) is historically inaccurate. Some French guy who had a habit of making up secret societies (and setting himself up as leader...) made up the Priori of Sion (named after the area he grew up in) and wrote the list of grand masters (including himself). None of this Priori material predates 1956. All of the other "evidence" falls apart under further investigation.

But ah, the Bible isn't a historically accurate document either (it contradicts all of modern geology, that says a lot right there). There wasn't anything written down about Jesus until at least 30 years after his death.

But, some of the earlier documents give tantilizing clues about a close relationship with Mary. But it's not definitive.

The thing is, Jesus as accepted today isn't Jesus the real man (if he even existed!). Some of the oldest documents call Jesus a "tectar" -- he would have done things like field work. Not wood work.

The truth about Jesus may very well be lost to history. Until something really definitive shows up, that's an open question.

(I must address the recent "discovery" of the "tomb of Jesus." Christ and his family -- and Mary, who would only be there if she were his wife -- This would be interesting, but I can't accept it until a certain definitive test is done -- the markings on the tombs could have been scratched in later. A petina test from the markings would be needed to definitely establish them as real. In fact, someone once went as far as to fake petinas in etched grooves for hoaxed documents relating the Temple of Solomon! So, until they are established as truly genuine, this can't be used as evidence of a relation between Christ and Mary).

It's rumored that he was married to Mary Magdalene or at least that Mary was in love with Jesus. Personally I think he was. After all Jesus was Jewish and for a Jew to not be married was pretty much paramount to sin. Not literally but it was a big deal So I don't see why would not be or why he shouldn't have been for that matter.

Maybe. For a Jewish man of the time to NOT be married would've been considered VERY odd, and one would think it would've been mentioned somewhere - since women weren't very important in the time, however, it's perfectly plausible that she would not have been mentioned in the scripture (or perhaps she was? There ARE clues - and no, I'm not going off The Da Vinci Code).

I don't see why it would be such a problem. If Jesus was TRULY man, he should experience life AS a man, shouldn't he? What's wrong with him getting married, sleeping with his wife, etc? Is there something WRONG with marriage and sex?

Jesus Christ never married. He lead a very simple life. He never claimed himself to be a God or asked to worship him. May God's blessings and peace be with him.
