My favorite thing is that everyone has an equal voice. People who are normally shy...can be heard in this format.

What're your favorite reasons?

I have to agree with you...I'm one of those soft-spoken people. No one hears what I say at a party, and most of the time they are asking me "what is wrong," because they are so much more outgoing than I. Here, I can say whatever I want and for the most part, it is heard.

There is a party I'm going to next weekend which R&S could never top....it will basically be a concert of some of my favorite DJs....no one needs to talk there!

First reason is that I could communicate openly and freely with almost everyone in here without worrying if some people are gonna be 'hurt' or overly sensitive with my questions (and so are the answers here).

Second, its a lot more FUN than anywhere else in the other sections of Yahoo Answers. I am so addictive to this place that I've been opening this page more often than the others, but seldom answer things I can't or don't have the right words to put input as answers.

I think its also cool to get to know different highly knowledgeable people of different faiths who are not totally extremists who know absolutely NOTHING but their own faiths. These group of people are so cool and knows how to share their love and kindness to others around as well (something you don't find in other sections). They'll share not only prayers to you but words of wisdom and TRUTH.

Oh yeah, last reason is... I think Jesus using the laptop is also cool, dude! You rock!

Well considering I have never been to the kind of PARTY people usually talk about, I don't know if I like Y/A better.... but I am shy in real life and would never say some stuff Or practice being sarcastic in real lie..

For the people who said that they like it because there is no alcohol: What about the drinking game?! I'm guessing some fundies got us drinking so much that we wake up in a ditch wearing a clown costume the next morning.

Well i like it because my chair is comfy. And if i want to leave, i dont have to face a horde of drunkards trying to get me to be a pizzaman.

And you can have more interesting conversations!

Because at parties, you're face to face with strangers you don't know, strangers that might annoy you, strangers that might touch you, strangers that might get drunk around you, strangers who will ignore you and perk up to every sound other than your voice.

Here people listen. My voice seems to get tuned out in real life when I'm in large groups. It doesn't matter how assertive, loud or conspicuous I try to be. At least here others have to read my answers before they thumbs down or never reconsider them ever again.

I don't know ... I had a whole roast pig, and a day at the pool, at my last party (a pool party thrown by my Condominium Association). And I met a cute real estate agent.

I'm not sure what this place has in comparison ;-(

It's really hard to ignore drunks once they hit a certain volume in an enclosed space. But here, you can just skip the questions asked in all caps with minimal feathers ruffled.

Haha, the same reasons you just mentioned Laptop Jesus. Because everyone can have their say, people aren't as shy online.

Things are more civilized, even if people cover their eyes and stop reading they at least don't scream about it. Plus i just love polemic topics, the type that stir fights IRL.
