(Ecclesiastes 3:19) For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity.
That 'spirit' is the same that God breathed into the nostrils of Adam and Eve.
It is God's power that he takes back when we die.
The word 'animal' means every living creature on the earth.

I am positive that if humans have any type of a spirit....all animals do too.
I'm pretty sure that anyone that owns a pet would agree.
