In the face of new anti-discrimination legislation shortly to be introduced in UK... that the Catholic Church is threatening the UK Government with closures of it's PUBLICLY FUNDED adoption agencies unless they be given a special exemption to continue to discriminate against homosexual couples when nobody else will be allowed to do so in the provision of goods and services?

Catholic adoption agencies have shown willing to adopt out to gays in Ireland where similar legislation was introduced over five years ago with no problems, Inn Scotland this legislation has already nbeen passed without exemptions, and in UK itself Catholic adoption agencies have for some time been willing to adopt out children to single gays so it is very hard to see the justification for their demand.

Anti-discrimination should mean just that , should religious groups be above the law?

I recently came across a posting for Blacks being inferior to whites, I didnt bother to reply but I just browsed through the answers and this particular person stood out the most, I believe he's a white male who goes by the name of "Quas". How do you feel about this statement?

Actually, every caucasion person on the planet is inferior, because we have the mutated gene that causes our skin to turn white. The Human species started out black, from our origins in Africa/Ethiopia, wherever you like, and our skin is more suseptible to illnesses like cancer because we don't have the proper defense from harmful sun rays.
What you say is racist, and black people are good at everything white people can do, so try and take a better look at all points of view before jumping to conclusions.

Your religion claims to teach respect and peace. Yet any time some one has a different view than you, you resort to ad-hominem arguments and suggesting vengeance in the form of damnation. Some one disagrees with Christianity and instead of enlightening them you crucify them. What happened to practicing the teaches you follow? Surely "God" wouldn't want you to act in this way.

Then there's the fact that science has offered more answers about our world than the book ever has. Instead of finding answers to problems you retort the same cliche "God musta dun it".

So my question to you is, why are Christians practicing hate when they preach peace? What led to this hypocrisy?

Please answer with thoughtful, intelligent answers that will enlighten me, rather than proving my point. I would like to practice Christianity but I find it increasingly naive to do so.

People are so certain of their beliefs (religious and non-religious), but when you objectively look at humans you find this enormous breadth of viewpoints. Many times even an individual person will have a different belief in the evening compared to that morning (not to mention over a month, a year, a lifetime).

Not to get all teary eyed, but shouldn't this obvious fact give us all a little more patience and tolerance toward one another? Throw in the 'truths' found in both metaphor and logic and how can we not look at other peoples beliefs without a little bit of, "yeah, I can kinda see that would be good.."?
