People are so certain of their beliefs (religious and non-religious), but when you objectively look at humans you find this enormous breadth of viewpoints. Many times even an individual person will have a different belief in the evening compared to that morning (not to mention over a month, a year, a lifetime).

Not to get all teary eyed, but shouldn't this obvious fact give us all a little more patience and tolerance toward one another? Throw in the 'truths' found in both metaphor and logic and how can we not look at other peoples beliefs without a little bit of, "yeah, I can kinda see that would be good.."?

In my experience most people are extremely narrow-minded. If not narrow-minded than ignorant of other people's beliefs and views.
I find a lot of religions deal with morals; good values to live by daily. Over the long run Christianity taught me that there was more to gain from doing good than not but it was/is my choice. As it is my choice to choose what to believe; God/Gods.
If we could only stop fighting over who's religion is the true one and just agree on the good parts of all of them.

Why is your name "Bad Buddhist" and you claim to be an atheist?

People have different answers because they are at different places in their walks.
Just because I can tolerate something doesn't mean I have to enjoy it, approve of it, or like it.

If people would realize that the spirit of God will direct them and not so much their religion then all things would in prove for all things God created as we would see God in all things and appreciate it and protect it,each soul is unique and can be so full of the spirit, but we limit ourselves by our religions dogmas.its such a damn shame.nomnio ho ren ga co.Buddhist.Baraka Bashad
