I know this sounds insane, but as a kid I managed to avoid fighting or getting into trouble, and I always wanted to have a black eye. I finally got one when I asked some chick to punch me in the face, and I was happy to have it.

Does anyone else have any similar stories, either from fights or sports or other crazy stunts? Where does one go to be seen or find others who like to be seen sporting a shiner?

What I mean is you have black people, white people, chinese/asian, hispanic and so many other races of people. Now with the first people being Adam and Eve were they both the same race or different, whether they were or weren't how did we have so many different races of people like we have today? Also, another question within the question. In the beginning it was Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel(Sons of Adam and Eve), How did the world reproduce off just Eve? She was the only female. Where they having sex with their mother or were Cain and Abel, homosexuals? Also, when the Virgin Mary had Jesus in her womb, how did he get there if she didn't have sex? How did he get there? I'm not trying to be funny at all. I believe in God, and I'm a Methodist born and raised as one. However, I'm just curious, and this is something I need to know. I'm asking and not afraid to ask either.

Im a lesbian...me and my ex gf just started dating again. She says that she thinks things will keep going good between us. But since we had problems before, I am leary and I ask a lot of questions and tell her she isn't serious about what she says about us and she doesn't like that and when I say to her I want things to keep getting better between us, she says "they will if you relax".....what does she mean by that?? Well its like this, I left my club at school to join another then I rejoined and they were ok. But I didn't again and I REALLY REALLY like both what should I do I can only be in one!? You have a point, but what about the people who cant be hired because they don't fit into the "ethnic hire" category? Don't to think this is discrimination as well?
For example: under affirmative action, there must be a certain percentage of "ethnic" interviews and hires in order to satisfy EOE guidelines. If a person is hired just to fill the "ethnic hire" quota, and the person out in the hall applying for the position who may be better qualified, is turned away because he isn't considered "ethnic", the company loses a great opportunity to make that hire, but cant because they are forced to meet a quota.
You mentioned in your question, first part: "employers DON'T always hire people for merits" Well, you are exactly right because affirmative action forces them to make a quota hire, not always the best hire.
