If you are in love, and that person is "the one" you wouldn't have to ask. Trust me you just know

Sorry for not answering. The person didnt want me even though he loves me. And said I was the one. After 5 years, his current relationship went no where, came to me asking if I was still in love with him, want him back....yet cant leave the other person to be with me.

And yes, I was weary and guards way up. Yup, his family members and friends came to me asking the same questions.
I moved on. He hasnt.

Should I have someone that loves me and I am the one....alot of work for that person to be done to ensure and convince me. Call me a very dry cynical dude.

I'm not a guy but I've been in love about 3 times. However, I've only been married once and going on 26 years. I think the others didn't work out because neither of us really wanted to work on our relationships. That's all it is. Two people committing themselves to trying to make each other happy and having the same goals in life (very important!) My husband is fun, funny and puts up with my moods. By doing things to make me happy, I in turn try to do things for him. But he never expects this and is always grateful, I can't get over it!

There is no good answer to this one. It just hits you hard and fast and you KNOW. If you are not sure, it probably isn't the one.
