No because that is a Bible fact and was true of the true Church in the book of Acts. The trinity doctrine, and other doctrines of men, only came in as Christianity moved away from God.
Today there are still hundreds of thousands if not some millions of professing Christians around the world who do not hold to a three person trinity; but rather One God presenting Himself in Three offices or manifestations.
If you go back into the early history of the Christian Church you find that all believers were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and did not have titles pronounced over them. Father is not a name, son is not a name and holy ghost is not a name. There is only one name given under heaven whereby men might be saved -- not three.
Among the best known who hold to the original doctrine are the United Pentecostal Church, those known as Message Believers, who follow the prophet William Marion Branham, and groups who go under the name of Oneness.

No it is not strange in fact none of the disciples or Paul or any of the Jews ever believed the Trinity. This believe was part of the first political and religious marriage of the Christian church to pagan religions by a Ruler that really didn't care about being a Christian until his death bed where he was baptized improperly by being sprinkled right before his death. This man's only motivation for not killing Christians was the fact that he painted crosses on his shields before a battle and felt he won for this reason in a dream and decided to help Christians not be murdered in arenas and publicly because he won this battle. John the last disciple of Jesus died about 90 A.D. and in a little over 200 years the wolves came into the Church and destroyed the Power that was in God's Church. This was the beginning of the Dark Ages and loss of knowledge, because the church came into Power and destroyed all that opposed it. Hitler killed many less than this early church killed in the name of God during the inquasions

Not at all strict monotheist. Jesus in His lifetime on earth taught about His Father, Himself as the Son of God and the Holy Spirit and what each of them did. All early Christians knew about the three Persons in One.

What did they think was going on when they were baptized by the Holy Spirit? Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And when they heard Jesus say as is recorded in John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Who did they think he was talking about?

i just re-read the verses in the bible that are quoted as supporting the trinity and the logic of the trinty seems pretty tenuous to me. and as far as i remember the council of nicaea was prompted by a power struggle amongst the patriarchs and the bishops, particularly the patriarch of alexandria. and the need for constantine to have a uniform religious doctrine. nicaea was politics not religion.

I see.
This is the Trinity; which is in the Old Testament aswell. Anyway:
God the Father (God in His unseen glory)
God the Son (God in His seen glory)
God the Holy Spirit (God in us)
I hope this helps.
If you need bible verses, I will pass them on, without spamming you with anything else ever.

No, it's not strange.
The trinity thing was invented in 321 AD during the council of Nicea by a group of religion marketers who were trying to come up with more ideas to impress the pagans. Holy trinity was one of the gimmicks they came up with. No one rely understands it because basically it does not make sense so it's good magic and it works well to impress the uneducated and illiterate .
