I’m a committed Christian and 1 week before Christmas, I was burgled. Everything was stolen, even all Christmas presents. Obviously, I was and still am to a certain extent still very upset. I attend a bible group/fellowship every week with 5-6 members. The thing is, even though these members know about my recent crime, not one of them has been to visit me, or phoned me to see how I am or even asked how it all happened, etc or if I need anything. One of the members has had a hip replacement and they’ve all seemed to have found the time to visit her in hospital. How do I get over the disappointment I feel with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, who I thought would be more supportive? One did ring me and all he did was quote me 3 verses from Psalm 23!

I like the way I was created by Him... why can't they accept me the way I look. I'm not a bad person... no one is perfect in this world.

I am starting to see Buddha as a prisoner like the rest of us. He escaped existance and went back to nothingness (nirvana). Is it possible to completely excape God's creation and not have to worry about existing in heaven, hell, or on earth?

For instance, a guy who likes to cross dress, enjoys mainly oral sex, and is very feminine (small build, passive), but is only attracted to women?

Just curious.

Looking at other questions and answers on the site it seems to me that many women feel it is acceptable for them to use men's public toilets (restrooms) if, for example, there is a queue for the women's toilets but are completely against men using women's toilets for any reason.

Even when a man has a young daughter who cannot use the toilet on her own, many women seem to be against the idea of him taking her into the ladies' toilets.

This seems to me to be double standards, especially as everything is behind closed doors in the women's toilets, unlike in the men's.

Many crimes have been solved by hunch (try this in google 'hunch solves crime') just like I did on a hunch ...lol and you will see it happens. Is it not valid to say that since there is no conclusive evidense for or against a matter we shall go with a hunch?

Whats the most real to you?, an alien , or God?, neither have been proved but both have been sighted a lot. Lots of people say they have spoken to either one, yet lots of people deny their existance.. what's the difference between them?, could they be the same?

The way christians often talk about faith, is like its a NEED, like humans would be worse of without it. Why is this so?
My kids do fine without it, I do fine without it, my wife is fine without it. People I have known have died, and I didnt require any faith to handle the situation, while a christian and now as an atheist.
So I just dont understand what the Need is?
please explain your view on this
thankyou

First, one has to decide what a Christian is. Christians cannot even agree with one another.
For Catholics: Do you really think the Pope speaks directly to God? If not, can you call yourself Catholic? Do Catholics really think that they are drinking the blood of Christ? If not, how can you be Catholic.
For Protestants: Do you really think the Bible is the word of God?

Basically, where does one draw the line between logic and faith? If I had asked these questions to Christians 400 years ago, there wouldn't be a doubt in their minds. Nowadays, people are much more educated. I just cannot comprehend how an educated and itellectual person can believe these things. If you don't believe some of these things, but still consider yourself a Christian, how can you justify that?

My dad said I take too much time combing my hair so he says I'm a gay guy and it makes me angry and sad and then I yell back and he just laughs it away and says to my brothers that I'm a sissy boy so they just laugh and hit he hard. Even sometimes my mom gets angry too but she keeps quiet and just waits until brothers go outside. How can I make my hair nice and combed but not comb it so I can't become a gay guy anymore?

Christianity seems to be fixed on heaven, but Buddhism is fixed on escaping existance and going back to the unborn state. Which is better for you?
