I really don't understand. What are teachers supposed to do? Why do people say Europe and Japan have better education? Are the schools to blame or are kids too spoiled? I'm a product of U.S. education; I knew a lot of smart people. Is "no child left behind" at fault? (I'm asking because lots of people from different countries go to R&S section.)

If they did, shouldn't their decedents receive royalites whenever these product is being used or marketed to the masses? Fair is fair, they should also get a cut on viagra or cilais usage as well. If the Indians got casinos then the Sodomites should get brothels. Fair is fair!!!!

10 Greatest Inventions by Muslims
1. Coffee

The story goes that an Arab named Khalid was tending his goats in the Kaffa region of southern Ethiopia , when he noticed hi s animals became livelier after eating a certain berry. He boiled the berries to make the first coffee. Certainly the first record of the drink is of beans exported from Ethiopia to Yemen where Sufis drank it to stay awake all night to pray on special occasions. By the late 15th century it had arrived in Mecca and Turkey from where it made its way to Venice in 1645. It was brought to England in 1650 by a Turk named Pasqua Rosee who opened the first coffee house in Lombard Street in the City of London . The Arabic qahwa became the Turkish kahve then the Italian caffé and then English coffee.

Do we spend too much time in church and not enough time helping out? Look I don't care if you go to church or not, but don't you think that it would be a better use of your time if you actually went out and helped a few people instead of going to church and praying for them.

(sorry for the long question)

I'm not against religion, and I know that this question is probably getting old, but I want to know something.

Why, when the world is the way it is today (war, famine, terrorist attacks, murder, rape, child abuse, sexual abuse, demoestic violence, eating disorders, the list goes on.......) do we continue to pray for answers to the worlds problems? If praying worked wouldn't we have the answers by now?

If we all stopped focusing on what might be real, and started focusing on what IS real, we may actually have a chance at fixing a few of these horrific problems.
