there is really no such thing as "free and objective" as all information is from a point of view of someone.
however, there is nothing to worry about, because there is an enormous amount of news sources and you can always have multiple perspectives on major events. if you do not like reuters you can read the BBC or the AP or a blog of a local person who saw the event. now more than ever, there are so many places to get information, that you can find enough perspectives if you want to.
google news will often have many different links for each news story. of course with many news stories, it doesnt really matter who delivers it, because they are just simple facts that are not subject to bias.
people often whine about the big media companies controlling the media, but they are only controlling the media if you are incredibly lazy and refuse to seek out multiple sources.

yes, the tycoons are free to say what they want. that is freedom.
Read something from out of state about your state.
I reccommend Reuters personally for the local bias free version of anything prolific or semi prolific.
I am not sure what thier bias is and thats kinda comforting in an ignorance is bliss sort of way.

This is true BUT the government closely regulates the media to make sure each idea or ideas are covered equally. Each party is supposed to get equal time and each party is offered time its just a matter of if they accept that time or if they have enough money to purchase air time.

We have no unbiased media anymore. No matter where you turn someone is trying to get you to believe their side instead of reporting the facts and letting you make up your own mind.

Doesn't matter who owns what. The majority of {real} Americans, would speak the truth, no matter what's at stake. It always comes out anyway, sooner or later.
