Do we spend too much time in church and not enough time helping out? Look I don't care if you go to church or not, but don't you think that it would be a better use of your time if you actually went out and helped a few people instead of going to church and praying for them.

Most church goers spend about an hour or two a week in church, if that. I don't think an hour spent renewing their faith is a bad thing. Perhaps it would be wiser to take the time one would normally spend on the internet or watching television, which is really a big waste of time, and do something positive to help the community. And I don't personally feel this resolve should be limited to church goers.

Prayer while not INSTANTLY answered the way you want it to be answered WORKS! Despite what you may think!

People who go to chuch are not just praying for others. Churches do a lot for communities and for the world!

half/half. Iam not saying this is christian, but , a good christian person does the world more good by setting out to do good deed than standing in church all the time. I ahve not been to church in 2 months, however iam extremly active in youth groups and local organizations into helping the christian comunity and onwards.church is good but i would without sweat turn it down to help those in real need, and thats a christian thing to do.

Jesus spend his ministry in the street, talking to others, teaching, praying, healing and worshipping God.
the christian life is outside the church, not inside
the church is a place for God's children to meet and worship togather.

the church is a tax free business, and business is good. the church wont get money from helping the poor, but only from stroking the insecurities of those with money to tithe.

scan your church on sunday, estimate an average wage, take 10% of that, and then work out the income of the church, take off overheads and you still have a lot of money. money that stays in the church.

why wont they help Africa? because they dont want converts to a better life, they want money, and you wont get it from starving peasants.

sad, but through my eyes it looks true.

That's a good way of saying that you don't want to go to church.

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:
not of works, lest any man should boast.
the bible also says you gain faith by hearing the word of God -
I go to church because my pastor reads and speaks the word of God
hope this helped

I believe that if churches would organize and take their Christianity to the streets people would respect them more.
