Usually the reasoning is that there are always queues in the ladies' rooms, and not so in the men... I guess guys are faster (not having to dress and so on).
As for a man with a young daugher - you should push your way in. Definitely DO NOT accept that she goes in with someone else!!! You could also take the child with you, in the same way a mom takes her boy in the ladies (and no-one ever had an issue with that).
As for double standards... if this one was the only one, I'd be a happy woman.

I think this is a stupid double standard, and I also don't understand why men's bathrooms don't have some kind of diveders between urinals. I have no problem with men usin the women's bathroom or vice versa.

frequently, this is merely common lack of expertise. sure, on the full, men tend to be larger and more suitable, inspite of the indisputable fact that this isn't real of each male-lady pair. someone would not favor to be higher or more suitable to inflict damage. Being hit hurts. Having products thrown at one, or being pushed downstairs, may reason extreme damage -- inspite of the indisputable fact that this is not really the actual damage that hurts the sufferer. F-on-M relatives violence would not get the interest it truly is going to. many who imagine of girls human beings hitting adult men do assume it would not do any damage; adult men are oftentimes ashamed to assert it does; human beings laugh at them. I heartily consider you: violence is violence; violence is inaccurate. i might want to like to ascertain relatives violence dealt with extra appropriately, and society attain out to male victims, because this is attempting to do with lady victims. maximum victims experience shame, yet there is an extra layer of shame for adult men, considering they're envisioned to not be damage, bodily, by a lady.

men don't mind if a woman goes into the mens, at worst they think its funny. but us gals certainly don't want me seeing us doing our make up - or worse hearing us talk about them. the ladies loos is a sacred place, and not for men. who cares if its a double standard, if a guy had a problem with me going into the mens i wouldn't do it. but who's stopping us!!

Men are less sensitive about their personal space.
Women demand more privacy than men.
Men are far less likely to be assaulted and are far less likely to report some misbehavior on a woman's part.

I don't think women want men to see how throroghly disgusting are their bathrooms, and neither do the men want to see that. I'm not joking. Women have an image of being the fairer sex which, for good enough reasons, they want to maintain.

Women do many other things e.g. make-up, dress up in their toilets etc. that is why they would not like that any male should use their toilets.
