I ask a question that does not violate the ToS but conserns homosexuals and I am censored. So I edit the question and repost and then I can't see it. Go to my asked questions, please, and answer "So is my friend gay?" Thank you!

I have a very good friend who wants to translate her name into Japanese . . . naturally she asked me, probably more because I have a Japanese name than because I look Japanese. Anyway, there are three ways we sussed out that we could do it: we could translate it literally (that is, find a Japanese name that has the same meaning as hers), by spelling, or phonetically (by sound).

Her name is Erin . . . I haven't gone through the trouble of finding all of the possible names that could mean "Ireland" in Japanese, but there are probabbly very few. If we translate her name by spelling, it would stay Erin but the pronunciation would change from air-in to air-een. If we translate her name phonetically, it would go from Erin to Eren. Which way do you think is the best?

Or, are there whole Buddist sects that do not believe in reincarnation?

I consider myself agnostic and am very interested in Buddhism, yet cannot quite buy into the whole reincarnation bit. Is there a Buddhist branch out there that would work or is reincarnation one of the main branches of Buddhism?

Thanks.

my brother in-law is serving his mission and writes that he is having troubble with his companion. his companion is older and be-littles my brother in-law because his companion has a Degree in college. what advice could i give my brother in-law? is there any scriptures i can qote for him? please no negitive answers.

I shared a kiss with a female friend of mine that made me interested in going a little farther. Is it abnormal to feel this way? If I don't like it, is it worth trying just for the experience? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I am an atheist myself, but I'm not here to attack those who "believe". To be honest I haven't been an atheist that long. I'm just not really clear on what an atheist would say about Buddhism.

Give me some examples. Study the Books of the Law, Genesis-Deuteronomy, go through Bible class, you don't have to be a Christian to do it, although helpful to understand anything beause the Bible is spiritually understood, not just a whim, oh I think I going to read this and find contradictions. Oh and this question cannot be answered truthfully, so go ahead, I dare you. TRY!:(
