Give me some examples. Study the Books of the Law, Genesis-Deuteronomy, go through Bible class, you don't have to be a Christian to do it, although helpful to understand anything beause the Bible is spiritually understood, not just a whim, oh I think I going to read this and find contradictions. Oh and this question cannot be answered truthfully, so go ahead, I dare you. TRY!:(

Okay, first of all I am soooooooo excited that all of you answered. Because I read each answer carefully and HA! I can PROVE EVERY ONE OF THE ANSWERS WRONG!!!!!! You need to study the Bible, not pick bits and pieces and come up with something. I want solid evidence, and none of you have come up with anything I cannot disprove, so that makes me excited!

God created man first in the bible, but in reality, we have physical scientific proof that dinosaurs existed before man. It was not written in the bible. Do you know why? Because the bible was not written until man existed, therefore, MAN WROTE THE BIBLE!!!!!

God created Adam and Eve....they had Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel. Cain had many wives. Where did the wives come from? (And don't Christians believe in monogamy?)As far as I know, the Adam and Eve family were the only existing family on Earth at that time. I don't ever see where it says, "And while they were living, God created more people".

Who incited David to count the fighting men of isreal?
God did (2 Samuel 24:1)
Satan did (1 Chronicles 2 1:1

How many were there?
800,000 (2 Samuel 24:9)
1,100,000 (1 Chronicles 21:5)

There's a few hundred more in this book, but even one pretty much contradicts the "perfect Bible" theory.

One of my favorite "contradictions" is the number of women who came to the sepulchre. Never mind that all four gospels name Mary Magdalene, the fact that not all authors felt the need to mention all the women by name apparently causes atheists some sort of brain pain. Imagine: the doorbell rings. You open the door to find a Girl Scout selling cookies. Her mother is with her. After you finish conducting business, your spouse asks you who was at the door. "Just a Girl Scout selling cookies", you answer. Are you lying? Are you withholding important information? If your neighbor is asked the same question by her spouse, is it a contradiction if she says, "A Girl Scout and her mother"?

You're making a truckload of presumptions. Most atheists have studied the bible a great deal. I was at bible college when I began to doubt and it was the *last* thing I expected to have happen. There are literally dozens of contradictions just in the story of Jesus' resurrection (a little bit important). I can find a link for you if you're seriously interested.

Genesis 1:25-27
(Humans were created after the other animals.)

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image.... So God created man in his own image.

Genesis 2:18-19
(Humans were created before the other animals.)

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Judas' death:

Matthew 27:5
And he [Judas] cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Acts 1:18
Now this man [Judas] purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

Of course the biblehas contradictions, it was written by dozens of people! contradictions in the bible stem from the difference in Moses', Jesus', and Paul's teachings and theway others interpret them. I think Jesus was just trying to make the teachings of the old testament easier to follow by lumping them all together in 2 laws, but Paul started taking them apart again.

If you want to talk contradiction, you might want to pick up a copy of the quran. that thing is riddled with them. You can tell it was written by more than one person, despite islams insistance otherwise.

Are you serious? There have been several entire books published which list hundreds of well-researched bible contradictions.

Here's one of the more obvious ones: Jesus' last words.

Matt.27:46,50: "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, eli, lama sabachthani?" that is to say, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" ...Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost."

Luke23:46: "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, "Father, unto thy hands I commend my spirit:" and having said thus, he gave up the ghost."

John19:30: "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished:" and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."
