What kind of questions do you ask? Do they invite angry answers?

Funny, most of the nasty answers I see in the religion & spirituality section are from so-called Christians. Some atheists (and others) do make nasty comments as well, but they are outnumbered by Christian fundamentalists. Maybe your questions attract nasty answers from atheists while some other people's questions attract nasty answers from Christians. It seems to depend a lot on the subject and the attitude of the asker how people respond.
Anyway, what's your question?

I have gotten some very nasty responses from Christians when I say there is no G-d but G-d and that Jesus was not G-d. Atheists are normally much more reasonable and thoughtful people than Christians are. I have not noticed Atheists answers being bad.

I just reviewed your last 4 questions. The only question you asked of atheists seemed all to be polite. Some tried to be a little funny, but none I could see sounded rude. Maybe if you ask this question again, you should give an example.
I will say as a gay man that I have had strong epithets thrown my way in the R&S section, including several telling me I have no right to be here, people telling me that gay people would be tossed out of their churches, telling me I am going to hell, that God hates me, and displaying no great Christian love on their own part. Some attack the idea that homosexuality is a natural expression of human sexuality, but many attack me as a person.
If an atheist (or anyone else) ridicules your ideas, that's part of debate. If they attack you as a person, they're just being immature. Your ideas must be defensible to withstand close scrutiny, but you shouldn't have to defend your right to exist. And neither should I.

As an atheist, I'll admit that I'm guilty of the occasional offensive answer (that's subjective to who's reading), but those are usually littered with a healthy amount of irreverent comments and sarcaism. And they're only directed at logically flawed questions of an ignorant or bigoted nature. This is for the sake of brevity, since I don't care to waste my time writing something that is too long to read on someone who won't read it.
If you ask an informed question, you will recieve an informed answer, simple.

No matter what a person claims as his/her beliefs, one should always have respect for the other person. People can believe as they wish. The reason why I do not belong to any organized religion is because I cannot stand the way they try to shove it in other peoples faces.
I was always like that even at a very young age.
Everyone has opiniions and everyone has a right to express them.

I'm not so sure about that. I think there are lots of nasty answers on Y Ans, and they come from theists and atheists alike. In fact, I tend to realise the theists are usually quicker to react nastily.

No... With so many religions out there that disagree with each other, there is no reason a nasty answer would always be from one of us. I've seen PLENTY of believers, of one faith or another, give a nasty answer...
And no matter what a person's faith or lack of, those that are always nasty are only trolls...either of their own belief/non belief, or just of themselves, maybe even pretending to be of another belief to make them look bad... Those people, it doesn't matter what they are, other then troll...

well...when I get a nasty answer it is nearly always from a christian...then a muslim
we are arguing differnt points of view, after all, on emotionally charged topics...some people from each camp will lose their objectivity.

Sometimes this is true. But sometimes a matter of fact answer can seem harsh to a xtian. If you don't want to know what we think about a certain subject don't ask. We tell it like we see it. Of course thier are *** h*les everywhere.

Well what kind of questions are you asking? No matter what a person believes, when you question that belief (whether genuinely or to prove a point) many people will react hostilely.
