Take the Strychnine Challenge: Mark16:17-18
17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

If you get sick, just have your Pastor,Minister,Priest,etc., put his hands on you.

Why am I getting thumbs downe? If the bible is the truth, you should have no problem with me quoting it. That is unless, you can't do what it says in the verse, and are just angry that I brought it to light.

>>If you get sick, just have your Pastor,Minister,Priest,etc., put his hands on you.<<

"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." -- James 5:14-15

We have this in the Catholic Church. It is a sacrament called Anointing of the Sick.

As opposed to a fake christian? I am christian, but I am also human.
And no matter how much I love the Lord, and try my best to do my best according to his will and testament, I will make mistakes from time to time, which I will use as learning tools, as God continues on helping me on my path towards a life with purpose filled with the love of God and the love of myself and fellow man/woman.
Hands only help heal, when the one being healed, believes, and has faith, in the hands that heal, and that the Good Lord uses people for a purpose.

yes.. I am as real a Christian as you can get.
As far as the verse you quoted, this particular passage is Jesus giving the great Commission. He is saying that we as believers are called to witness to unbelivers, and in certain situations God will preserve us and keep us from harm. HOWEVER we are NOT by any means to try, test, or tempt God.. Trust me.. if you do, you loose everytime.

This is another example of someone taking the metaphors of the Bible literally.

Define "Real." If you mean "real" in the sense that I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and take his teachings seriously, then yes. If you mean "real" as in a stereotyped fanatic with no brain, you'll never find your "real" Christian.

Did you know that a lot of the bible is written in metaphors?

The writer of this is probably referring to sinners as "the sick". Should they commit a deadly sin, if they ask for forgiveness, they shall be saved from Hell.
