The Bible says that we should all should fellowship with the Saints, being other Christians, in the house of the Lord.

I only go to church 3 times a year. My parents are catholic and I do it out of respect for them, and my family.
I do my praying at home or with Christian friends.
I don't know who said organized religion is forbidden.
It obviously can't be because it does exist.
Religion cannot be divorced from the Bible because the word religion is mentioned in it. see new testament, James 1:27.
Religion should not be confused with being superstitious, also mentioned in the bible.
Several Christians don't "go to church."
There is no passage in the bible that reads "go to church."
Jesus spoke to a Samaritan woman saying that people would no longer worship in a mountain nor yet at Jerusalem, but would worship the Father in spirit and in truth. see new testament, John 4.
The Pharisees said that Jesus didn't keep the sabbath.
That wasn't true.
One should only go to church if that place can be called with one hundred percent certainty "the house of The Lord." If the only house of prayer that you have is your house, I say good. It is for God, not clergy, to define and decide what a church is.

Organized religion was forbidden in those time not now. Yes you can easily pray at home by yourself, but we you go to church and pray as a "community" it helps you in a different way. It's like saying you can watch a game at home so why go to the ball field. The experience is different and more uplifting that's why.

Reading the question, I thought this meant all believers, but in the additional details, it seems you mean only a subset of believers ... is this right?

Anyway, I'm a believer, just not a Christian. I don't go to church, but I do go to celebrations and rituals with fellow believers.

The reason I do this is because prayer and ritual ar more effective in groups. I do this because I have the opportunity to share and learn more.

I know of no scripture in any religion that says that "organized religion" is bad. There are some that say "legalistic" religion and "showy" religion are bad, but that's something different.

Believers of any faith, gathering together, produce a synergy that builds up each in the group. That's fairly universal.

Jesus cares more about how dedicated to him you are than if you go to a paticular church. A short prayer in secret means more than a long one for show. We go to church because it's a place where we can pray with friends and read the word of God without ridicule from the public. And besides, God made this whole world, so it seems right that we should dedicate at least a few small(or not so small) buildings to Him.

I have no problem with praying at home. You can invite all the people you want to. Remember that Jesus said wherever 2 (or 3- I don't have my Bible in front of me right now) are gathered in my name I am there. I like going to church, though, because we can fit more people in a huge building than in a small apartment. The more the merrier.

You don't have to be AT church to have Church. The Bible explains that Church is whereever 2 or more are gathered in His name. We go to a church and worship for fellowship. But we are supposed to be praising his name all of the time. You know htere is no such thing as a perfect Christian.

Church in christianity is not a place. Church means the gathering ... it can be done at home or anywhere that people can gather. People can even gather in middle of a forest or in the street and pray and that is still called a church.

"It is said that organized religion is forbidden". Huh? The bible says that the fellowship of believers is a good thing. It's nice to be in a group that loves the Lord, learning together, praising Him together, studying the Word together. I don't see the problem here.

Ok first where does it say organized religion is forbidden?
The Bible said forsake not the assembly of yourself together.
Jesus teaches us we are strong in numbers.Person who calls them self Christian and never goes to church is wrong.Unless they are bed ridden.<><

I go for no other reason than because I like it. The Bible tells us to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves (Christians)", but I love going, I need to go, I want to go. And by the way the others are at church, I'm pretty sure they feel the same way.
