Why do some of you appear more like anti-Christians than atheists?

To be sure, an atheist is a person who doesnt believe in supreme beings. That means disbelief in the Judeo-Christian God, Allah, etc. (Strangely, no one seems to be critical of Yahweh or Allah...)

But much of the tone in posts of atheists here seems more anti-religious. I.e., not only do I not believe in your God, but let me tell you why you are beneath me because you believe in your God. That's not atheism. That's impiousness.

I'm a Christian and believe to each his own. If you dont want to believe in God, then that is your decision. That makes you an atheist. If you also think less of me because I believe in God then that makes you impious or irreligious.

Atheism is not impiousness. Please remember that when you represent yourself as an atheist.

I keep seeing Christians claim that our laws are based on the Ten Commandments. I didn't know that Moses brought us freedom of speech, freedom from cruel and unusual punishment, and the right to bear arms. I was also unfamiliar with the part of the ten commandments that tells us we don't have to quarter soldiers. Wow that Moses was amazing, giving us laws for things that didn't exist.

I've been hearing from a lot of people saying that bush said that Atheist in his eyes are not citizens or patriotic, exscuse me for the misspellings. But What happen to freedom of religion.

Not trying to be disrespectful to anyone but If we atheist shouldn't be citizens then they should take "In god we trust" off of the american money and make it to something like "United we stand Divided we fall".

For me, in an ideal society of open respect, people are allowed to express and choose their religious values, including of course the right to "not have a religion". That's why sometimes, both the political right and political left annoy me to no end. For me its about choice. Honest choice, means it should be easy enough to find out about what one is chosing or not choosing.

What do you feel?

What if you knew that profit came from businesses that required employees to work on the sabbath? on religious holidays (such as Christmas)?
What if it were only possible (instead of certain) that the profit came from these reasons, i.e. your stock was part of a mutual fund?
What if the profits came from increased employee work load and coercion to employees to work overtime (unpaid in the case of salaried workers?)
Can unregulated capitalism be Christian?

Personally, I believe the French have such sexy accent if they talk in English…. I know that, I’m half French! LOL!

What do you think then? Don’t you agree with me here? If not, what would be your answer then?

In short, James Potter and Severus Snape would not bitter rivals… they would have such close and beautiful friendship! Just like James and Sirius, but now James and Severus! Or imagine Severus Snape as the FIFTH MARAUDER! James never teased or bullied Severus. He always protected him! James watched Severus’ back, while Severus watched James’ back!

But what do you think would happen to the entire Harry Potter series if Severus Snape were not Slytherins but Gryffindors? How would this affect Snape-Harry’s relationship when they met at Hogwarts? Is there any chance that Severus be Harry Potter’s GODFATHER? Would Severus still be like the “original” Severus as Slytherins? Would Severus succeed McGonagall as Head of Gryffindors? How would Severus act in Order of Phoenix and Death Eater? How would Severus act toward Voldemort and Dumbledore?

Before you start....I am a flag waving, patriotic nephew of my Uncle Sam. "My country right or wrong." But with growing liberalism, America loosing it's spine, and God no longer welcome, how much longer do you think this country will exist? I personally think it's around 25 to 30 years.
