The world would probably be very similar if people did not believe in God.
Most decisions people make are based on their own self interests. Often, they justify their decisions by finding support within their religious beliefs.
A religion that actively encourages its followers to do things that are not in their best interests will find it very difficult to convert new members.
Without a theistic religion, people will still adopt philosophies and beliefs, still turn to authority figures for advice and guidance, and still act as a group. And non-theistic groups will act to perpetuate themselves in many of the same ways as a theistic group.
There would certainly be some superficial differences, but there's not much reason to think that the world would be any better or worse.

Probably very overcrowded. Belief in God has led to most of the wars. Without religion those wars would not have been fought. The millions killed in those wars woild have reproduced over and over again, adding, who knows how many billions to the world population.

If all people understood God's message, what would the world be like today?
~ Eric
P.S. An atheist could understand God's message.

Which God are we talking about.
The judgmental punishing made up God or the unconditionally loving real God.
The world would be a much better place without the made up judgmental one.
A lot worse off without the real one.

now that I am living in christ and Christ in me, I look to Him for
answer, and ask question that is of him.as a child I do childish
things, but now that I am grown I put all childish things away.
please take this in love. and read your question and see what

Before anyone makes the ignorant assertion that all or most wars are religious, please consider the following brief list: Persian Gulf, Vietnam, Korea, WWII, WWI, Spanish American, American "Civil War," etc, etc. Most wars are not religious in nature. Finally, a mere "belief in God" does not affect the world much at all. If you believe in demons, demons would "believe in God." But their belief would do neither themselves nor the world any good, would it?

It would be like universal atheist communism, which means half the world would be wiped out, some starving, the rest making future plans in their offices.
