Tell him to go and look for what does satisfy him - and you move on otherwise you will end up thinking you are not good enough.

Are you sure that you have the right call on things? Sometimes a person projects hoe they feel ONTO the other person. I saw a bunch of 'dump him' answers but to me that is not fair. A frank discussion and some attempt on both your parts is certainly warranted. You can't end every relationship just because you have problems. Part of a healthy life is actually working through things rather than giving up so quickly.

It is time for a sit down and talk with your lover.

Well I think it's time for you to realize that nothing will ever be good enough and that there are just people like that. You have to make a choice, either accept and move on or find someone who is happy with what you give them!!!

Maybe you spoilt him a bit with too many presents early on, and now he's got used to the idea. We can all be selfish and unthinking at times.
You need to let him know that this bothers you, and find out whether he is with you for yourself or for what you can give him.

better to let him go his way. You should not have to give so much to a relationship. Relationships are give and take. There should be some balance to the equation.

Dump him. You are in no way obliged to buy him presents! A gift should be appreciated not appraised. Anyone that materialistic isn't worth your time. Seems like he sees you as an ATM instead of a person!
