If there is a better place to go after this life then why mourn our dead? Shouldn't it be a celebration? We've lost them here, but they are going to recieve their ultimate reward... and if you actually believe what you say you believe, it will only be a matter of years before you are reunited with them... So why all the tears, black clothes, and such?

A. I hate that people are deluded about god and wish they would all stop believing.

I used to stay up all night chatting with my aim buddy saddam69. we would chat about girls, cars, religion, dictatorial rule, and video games. I judge that the absolute preoccupation and practice of sexulity defies all the laws and I tend to think that unlike the other sins, its sinfulness is not intrinsic. it is rather the cincommitants that make it detestable . So, if I do not fail on those sidelines, am I free to make love to any man/woman?

God's household seems pretty abusive...if he was an earthly father raising earthly children...then wouldn't someone call child protection on him? I mean he burns the children that he created if they turn away from him...and he won't except them for the humans that they are..anyone else have other examples?

Just about every time i bring up evolution in here there is at least one answer that says they don't believe evolution because it would be like sending a tornado through a scrap yard and ending up with a functioning 747.

This argument for one, illustrates nothing at all that is close to the mechanics of evolution. If any of you who believe that this is what evolution is would read a reputable book about evoulution you would understand this. Heck, you don't even need to read a whole book... Just go to the talk origins website and read a few articles.

Always keep in mind that when you hear someone talking about evolution, they are using time and size scales that are very hard for us to picture. We exist in a world of this size, with very small time scales... but evolution takes place over hundreds of thousands to billions of years with changes that are so small they cannot be seen by the naked eye.
