According to the bible it is sin and those who participate in this sort of activity will not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9..."Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, (NASB ©1995)

Well I guess I'm promoting gayness because I think you're wrong. Completely, totally and 100% wrong.
Being homosexual or bisexual is just as good as being heterosexual. I think that people should know that all sexualities are equal and have the freedom to find their own paths and make their own choices free of constraint over one sexual orientation being better then others. Heterosexuality is not superior or better, it is just the same. So why not promote gayness? People promote straightness all the time.
Incidentally, I also don't believe in "sin" - it's a concept from the Judeo-Christian mythology and I don't believe in that particular panthenon. So I'm certainly not going to live my life by those principals any more then I would live by the morals of Zeus or Odin.

Why dont you bring a mirror and look at your self before you start judging and talking about others and talking about promoting gays and lesbians as if its some kind of commercial....its love no matter whats written in the bible. I believe in the bible, yes and I love God but he also gave me common sense to see that there is love between all kinds of people....you dont like how I think ? why how YOU think wouldnt be wrong ? we're all sinners and gay/lesbian is no worse than theft....atleast,you're not hurting anyone (or families incase of killing others) and stop relating AIDS to gays/lesbians because there are many ways to get AIDS....go read medicine book and educate yourselves and stop pretending that you're saints and everything when you could possibly be as low as my shoe.

Wow, this one takes the cake!
Why are 'they' (the gays and lesbians) so many?
Are 'we' not committing 'sin'? Why are 'we' promoting
homosexuality?
To answer these questions, Nicole O, 'they' (the homosexuals) are still a minority. I do not promote homosexuality, and you do not promote homosexuality. So who is 'we'?
OH, I see - it was because you could not spell 'THERE'...
One would assume if you ask: "are we not committing a sin?", that you are a lesbian too, Nicole O.
Gay is not a noun, homosexuality is.
I DO help to promote understandable English. Why? I do it because it is not a sin, and people like you REALLY need help!

I think it's sad. Look at people who come in here and post question after question just to show that they hate gays and lesbians. It reminds me of a talk show I saw where they had invited klansmen. They'd brought a home video of their Christmas in which they had decorated their tree with klan trappings. I thought it was so sad (and scary!) that all aspects of their life were fired by hate. I am motivated by so many other things - curiosity, a desire to create or learn, a desire to heal myself and, of course, love, not just of my partner but my friend, family and kitties! I can't remember the last time I planned and carried out an act based on hate. (I did want to put sugar in my ex-boss's school bus, but I decided to wait six months and by that time I was over it.) Imagine if your whole life was devoted to printing leaflets, passing laws, discussing and plotting - not for a cause but against a group of people. How pitiful is that?

I am wondering why you are concerned about it? Is this a question for yourself because you have feelings for someone of the same sex? What makes you concerned that it is a sin? I am guessing that you heard at church that it was a sin. But I wonder if you heard other things at church that made you concerned about your religion. It is funny that as Christians(I am guessing here) we are very judgemental about other people's behavior and we often think we can condemn someone for who they are or what they choose? But if you are truly Christian and truly listen to what God is saying, doesn't that teach you to love all no matter what. If that is the case, then let everyone be who they are going to be.

well, The Conservatives claim that being Gay is a sin and unnatural... but the Republicans still control the White House that appointes and controls the FDA that 2 days ago approved cloning meat for consumption. Is the Bible ok with cloning, man creating life? Why do people like you disregard the total truth in order to single out a minority of people.

I don't understand what you mean by "promoting" lesbianism/being gay? That is as silly of a notion as "recruiting" (signing young people up to join the gay movement). It just doesn't happen that way...people are who they are (with or without your, or anyone elses, approval). If it makes you feel guilty for accepting someone who is gay, then don't. We can live our lives the way we want to w/o your permission...or your judgements.

Promoting? I haven't seen any billboards, TV commercials, special mailings or any other form of promoting.
I have some other questions for you myself, Why is your nose in other peoples business? Why can't a majority of you conservative christian bigots use correct grammar & spelling? Why do you christians promote your hate and ignorance at every street corner, on billboards, TV, city bus benches, in our Public Schools? And most importantly, why are you on LGBT answers?

I don't think it is right that my shower stopped working while I had shampoo in my eyes, that Bush was elected president of the U.S. that millions people all over the world haven't had a decent Christmas dinner, I don't even think it is right to say "cos" instead of because... what is your point?
Who the heck are you to tell other people what to do? If you don't approve of someone else's life, why don't you try minding your business. Are people calling you house and telling you that they don't approve of you? Who died and made you God?

I'm not gay or bi; FAR FROM IT. I do not understand it. However, many people have misconstued what the Bible says. Nowhere in the Bible does it refer to the "emotion" of being gay. Nowhere in the Bible does it say "it is a sin to be gay." The Bible DOES address the "act" or "actions" of being gay. LEVITICUS 20: 13 says: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an ABOMINATION: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
