..to convince others that you are right?
(I am reposting this question as the responses I received indicated to me that the answerers did not realize it was multiple choice!)
Please choose one:
A. I hate that people are deluded about god and wish they would all stop believing.
B. I just wish people realized that god's existence is not *fact* and must be taken on faith.
C. What folks believe is what they believe; as long as they do not try to convert me to their beliefs I am fine with them.
Feel free to elaborate if I have not been sufficiently inclusive.

Neither the bible nor "personal conviction" are sufficient to make god's existence *fact*.

Tigger, dear, I never said *my* answer was C. I was asking others. The bible does NOT make it fact, and no matter how many times you claim it, it doea not make it so.

That was a good question and it was clearly a multiple choice Chicky, but I will refrain from saying that the oster-pays eren't-way oo-tay ight-bray.
I go between A and B, but leaning more to A now. Did you know Bush funnelled 2 BILLION into "faith based" programs? Almost 1 BILLION into abstinance only education. Yeah, leaning more for A.

It's not like atheism promises life the way Christianity does. What is there to worry about if we Christians believe in God how is that going to hurt you or change what you believe? Sure we will come to you and ask if we can tell you about life in Christ but if you tell us that you aren't interested we go away.. If we don't punch us! You are free people able to make up your own minds. For those of you that come into a Religion and Spirituality posting area. You get what you deserve... A sermon. If you question my faith here expect a solid answer. One that attacks what you believe. If you question weather I should have even answered this question look at the many times atheists have jumped into a Christian discussion with "God is a Lie" kind of response.... Jim

I'm too old to believe that much can be done about those 3 options. Mine is a practical problem. I intend to fight tooth and nail against religion's:
1. Attack of science and knowledge
2. Theocratic policy proposals.
Obviously this doesn't apply to ALL religions, or to ALL their proposals. But it does mean a continuous opposition to the dogmatic mind-set, wherever it shows itself.
Love the believer, blast the belief!

B mostly.
Cant stand creationists trying to teach there rubbish is schools. Theres a huge shortage of science graduates and the last thing the world needs is these people putting kids of evolutionary sciences and geology with there magic tales posing as science.

C - I couldn't care less what others choose to believe, as long as they mind their own spiritual business.
When Christians disrespect my choice and try to preach at me, I remind (or, in most cases, inform) them that their God drowned, sickened, and slaughtered millions, and repeatedly COMMANDED his followers to kidnap, enslave, torture, rape, abort, and kill people. Since, unlike most of them, *I* have read the ENTIRE Bible, I can (and do) back that up with Scripture. Then I explain that I consider those actions to be evil and immoral, and that I would NEVER be a Christian, even if God did exist. That's usually enough to shut them up, at least temporarily.

The thought from a believer's point of view.....
The feel of faith is basically fact, especially when God gives personal proof to individuals that believe.
And in faith we want to do his will, to show, explain, and help others to fulfill what it is we feel God wants us to do.
We are not infringing your free will, just to let it be known, that you have choice....... it's our free will as the believer to believe our God and want to do his will.

Evangelicals regardless of their faith or lack thereof have always annoyed me. Things go wrong when folks try to force others to see things another way instead of allowing others the opportunity for organic development.
