... most of you can't agree on a single thing about him or her (or them). I'm not looking for any more answers about how each individual's personal god is the real thing. I'm quite up to speed with all that stuff.

Faith is fine. But I'm looking to see how far you'll take into account the possible consequences of - quite innocently - believing in the wrong deity. For all your certainty, don't you run a terrible risk of the true god is angry that you chose to worship a different one?

EVERY believer KNOWS that their god is the right one, don't they?

Are you taking chances with your eternal soul? SOME of you HAVE to be, don't you?

Hypothetically, if God did exist, he would be a supreme being and no single human would be able to surpass him in any way. Right? However, in this civil society we do not torture people even for the worst of crimes-simply because it cruel and inhumane to do so. We have established a law under section 12 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that states “Everyone has the right not to be subjected to any cruel and unusual treatment or punishment.” If humans have the potential to surpass God in the trait of mercy then the fundamental belief that he is superior is broken. Using this logic; does he not exist?

I have always been interested in wicca since I was young. Over the years it kinda just faded but when I picked up a book about it last week I wanted to get back into it. I'm 16 now and I wanted to know where are good places to start and if I can find support to help me.

I live in nyc.

An earlier question asked the opinions of Christians regarding the Thomas gospel, and that was one response.

If you are Christian, and do not consider the Thomas gospel part of Christian holy writ, why not?

If genetics and environment (things out of our control) don't affect our choices as is the case in Free Will, then why aren't all humans making the same identical choices? Why isn't everyone thinking the same thoughts and making the same decisions that they believe are best for themselves and/or the rest of the world?

I never follow though with mine...but I would like to learn how to cook(I'm Latina so it's almost a sin for me not know how to cook since we love to eat) I would also like to become a vegetarian (as a college student that is difficult since I can't be picky about what I eat). That is basically it for now....

I had a very vivid supernatural dream. I was in a ravine of a valley and it was filled on both sides with morphing forms of dead animals and streaking fire up and down among the bodies of the dead animals. There were two men walking thru this and there were loud demonic voices screaming out mocking laughter. There were 2 pillars in front of them that seemed to be markers into a safer place or land. These two men were very brave and walked thru the death and fear and went thru or between the pillars into a safe land. My question is: I saw zebras dead bodies around them and they were coming back to life, then death..then life again. Are zebras significant in any culture or cultic ritual ? Is there any mythical background about zebras ? Can you give insight to this dream ?

i am a bahai girl, i am very unhappy, i have been on this site for 2 hours and i find ppl saying bad things about my religion with out even knowing what it is! isnt it a shame!!

why r ppl like this, why do they believe every thing some one tellls them, y cant they go and search for the truth instead of making up lies...

have any of u played the game chinees whispers, i think its nice coz it teaches u that when u say some thing to some one, it goes around and in the end its totally different then what u said!! thats how the world is working right now, dont u think?
dont u think its better to stop judging with out knowing what it is, and start finding information for ur self?

ppl might tell u allot of things, but u should not always believe them, u should always investigate for the truth because not all ppl r truthful, remember this it will always help u in life

This is an example of what I call a nice but frank answer. Please give other examples of "frank" answers.

Just ignore them. But we're not going away because there's a few bored people on here of any religion or no religion asking dumb questions. Why should we have respect for religion? Just because you believe it? What if you believed your religion gave you the right to kill me? Should I respect that belief as well?

I've seen at least five questions today demanding that one group respect the other. Instead of dividing everyone up into groups, creating *more* divisiveness, wouldn't it be better if everyone respected each other, no matter what their belief?

I know I'm crazy. That's fine. I just hate seeing discrimination about respect. Religion or not, we are all still human, yes?
