I had a very vivid supernatural dream. I was in a ravine of a valley and it was filled on both sides with morphing forms of dead animals and streaking fire up and down among the bodies of the dead animals. There were two men walking thru this and there were loud demonic voices screaming out mocking laughter. There were 2 pillars in front of them that seemed to be markers into a safer place or land. These two men were very brave and walked thru the death and fear and went thru or between the pillars into a safe land. My question is: I saw zebras dead bodies around them and they were coming back to life, then death..then life again. Are zebras significant in any culture or cultic ritual ? Is there any mythical background about zebras ? Can you give insight to this dream ?

Zebras are mythological in some African beliefs, but essentially, their black and white coloring allows them to be invisible or unseen in certain landscapes, they are therfore ghost creatures travelling inside our realm but not part of it. Your dream reflects the uncertainty of death and the veil that surrounds it. You must ask yourself, who were the two men, and what were the pillars...

The black and white stripes on the zebras represent unclear ideas of religion, your moving through this world of pain and hell and your wondering if you are gonna' make it to Heaven.

Maybe since they're black and white, zebras represent good and bad together (so would pandas, I guess. Or my black-and-white cat.) Soooo...I don't know.

But I would figure zebras have horsey connotations since they're like wild horses (but you can't really tame them or ride them or anything.)
