I'm Canadian. I have some very good friends who are Australian and my husband and I met a number of Australians while cruising in our sailboat. We would have to say that our experiences were all good ones.

Exchange student to the land of Oz 15 years ago from the US. Had a blast!! Learned that Aussies are more into actions speaking louder than words. Don't put a lot of stock in looks or the latest fashions (unless maybe if you live in the city--I didn't). Are very friendly and laidback--who wouldn't be when it is 115-120 outside!

My Aussie family and I still communicate!! Can't wait to get back!

One of the ranches near me (I'm in west Texas, USA) had some Aussie cowboys here on a work visa. They were really nice guys, very polite, and sexy as hell. Mmmm that accent! I was real sorry to see them go back down under. I had heard stories about Aussie men being real jerks but these guys pretty much proved that to be a lot of bunk.

Here in the USA, I've had the pleasure of hanging out and partying with aussies a few times. They have always been fun to be around.

Had a couple of Aussie neighbors when I lived in London and they were great! I lived on my own and was only 18 so they looked after me and made sure no one caused me any trouble. Wonderful people!

really nice and friendly, actually. which is weird because I'd heard so much about how racist they're supposed to be. but I've never met an Aussie i haven't liked (and I've met many), and i know a lot of people who have gone to Australia and loved it.

From Canada - Australians looooooooooove their drink. They don't seem to take life too seriously which is nice....when you're young.
