Original vs. Conceptual.....

The perversion of the gospel: Jesus understood that he was one with God as did every other mystic. Only he lived in a culture where you could'nt say this without commiting blasphemy. Therefore, the followers of Jesus said only Jesus was the son of God. This began a religion (organized) about Jesus and not of Jesus......And the rest is history

Im tired of hearing "stereotypes are wrong" b/c in fact they are mere truths. Maybe a particular stereotype isnt right for every single person of that color, race, or creed but in fact it is correct for MOST of them.

Ex: black ppl have big lips, white ppl cant dance, jews are penny pinchers, asians are smarter....they may not be right to every single black, white, jew, or asian in this world but they are right to an awful lot, the majority!

Also, how come ppl get upset when certain stereotypes are given to them but yet pick and choose what stereotypes they want to accept. How hypocritical is that. Like ask, most blks will stereotype themselves as better athletes than whites but get upset when they are stereotyped to like chicken or watermelon and call it racist. Hypocrits.

Anyways my point is we will never get better until we accept that we are all different not the same and that most stereotypes are there for a reason, b/c they are mostly true. Anyone???

Was watching the Midnight Mass with my wife last night, as she was raised in the Catholic tradition, and when the priest asserted that Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, my wife snorted uncontrollably - "I'll bet her hymen broke before he came out!" she whispered to me. Is this not a fair point? Just exactly how far does the idea of a virgin birth remain credible, even if we accept divine impregnation? Or was the Caesarean section widely available in Bethlehem?
