has anyone else here come to feel that their life is nothing more than a waste of breath, care, and they may as well float stagnantly in a cess pool of lost dreams?

(My car died yesterday)

In a lot of Biblical references, God is said to be talking to the protagonist (be it Moses, Noah, Jesus, the list goes on...). But how do we know he wasn't talking to the shrub and not Moses? How can we be sure he didn't tell two Gorillas to create a boat and gather two of each animal? What if the ox and lamb that kept time for the little drummer boy during the coming of Christ were the ones that should have been Jesus? How can we be too sure of anything? I mean, what if you just overhear God talking and it sounds like he's talking to you or something? Can we be sure he even made us out of HIS image? What if the duck-billed platypus was His image, and we just overheard him saying this to one of those funny creatures? Can we be too sure of anything the Bible tells us? Or should I just have 'faith'? bah... Please answer EVERY question, as I love to hear opinions of atheists, christians and everyone in between (cuz really, who else is there?)......

Earlier today I was preparing my bath water when the doorbell rang. I went to see who was there and there they were! Normally I will listen but I was water running and wanted to relax. So for about 1 minute I listened to them talk about today’s events and I flat out told them "look I am a political science major and I am quite sure I know more about what’s going on then you, now if you don’t mind I have a bath to take" I then accepted their little brochure and said good bye.

How should I have acted differently?

Surely your god knows what you are going to pray for beforehand - and has already decided on his course of action. Is it not absurd to think that you can persuade god to change his mind?

Indigo Children are misunderstood and unappreciated! They do not recognize how we change society today! Please, is there anyone who knows they are an Indigo Child out there? This question is to share information with each other, and feelings about being an Indigo, Crystal, or Rainbow Child! We are not of the devil, as many have claimed, but we are bright, shining children of God, who has sent us with a higher sentience to change the world!

Aish HaTOrah is a kiruv organization that employs lies and twists Judaism to try to get Jews who aren't religious to be Religious. Do you think they should say they are not teaching Judaism as it is held in most of the Orthodox world, or is it okay to tell lies to get people to keep the Sabbath?

or as the christians always say "God is Love"

Malachi 1:2-3 declares, “’I have loved you,’” says the LORD. But you ask, 'How have you loved us?' ‘Was not Esau Jacob's brother?’ the LORD says. ‘Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.’ Malachi 1:2-3 is quoted an alluded to in Romans 9:10-13, “Not only that, but Rebekah's children had one and the same father, our father Isaac. Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad — in order that God's purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls — she was told, ‘The older will serve the younger.’ Just as it is written: ‘Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.’” Why did God love Jacob and hate Esau? If God is love (1 John 4:8,16), how could He hate anyone?
