LOL. yah...
how come god never grants prayers that cant happen naturally?
god says yes to those who ask to recover from the flu and the common cold, but always says no to those who ask for their limb to grow back?
the bible says that if u have faith the size of a mustard seed u can move mountains. does this say something about faith today?

You are absolutly correct in thinking that God knows beforehand what we are going to pray for and has already decided what course of action He is going to take. This is ver astute of you.
So, "what is the point of prayer"? The point of prayer is to strengthen the relationship between us and God. When we pray, we become aware and acknowledge that God is the creator and the bearer of all gifts. It is important for us to ask God for what we need in order to realize that we must rely upon God.

That's a great question and one I've asked myself many times. The only thing I can come up with is that God commands us to pray. Pray without ceasing. I know that we can't persuade God with our prayers but somehow our prayers touch Him. And I do feel better after I've prayed so I continue to do it. Even Jesus prayed to the Father so if it was good enough for Him it's good enough for me

God might know what you are going to pray about but he would like to hear it come from your lips then he will know that you really mean it. The power of prayer is awesome. God listens and he will answer in his time not yours. So keep on praying. And when the prayer comes from your lips usually it does get answered.

The purpose of prayer is to seek ye the kingdom of god first, so that you can lean not to your own understanding,God wants you to have a personal relationship with him, and as you pray you have to believe inside your heart that your prayers are answered as you asked of him without a doubt. and your prayers will be answered, Lot of things we go through in this world and deal with, is only to make us stronger and to see things as they are, not as it will become. So if your doing the same thing over and over and getting know justified results then you need to let it go, or change what ever your doing, because your just setting your self up for a major setback. trust your gut feelings, God is the answer and yes he answers prayer, you just have to be of good courage and wait, Good things comes to those who wait on the lord. In jesus name Amen

The laws of faith determine how we should pray, we pray as we believe and the gap is getting wider and wider.
Prayer is not only in the asking of things but simply getting in touch with God and acknowledging His will be done and not your own. Prayer helps us get to heaven

Not everyone prays in order to make requests of God. Many of us thank God for what He has done for us. Since we are made in His image and were given intelligence, we are to use our gifts to do what God does. We thank God for freeing the captive, while at the same time reminding ourselves that we too must free the captives. We thank God for making the blind to see while at the same time reminding ourselves that we too must help the blind to see. Since we don't really know much about God, we remind ourselves of his attributes and strive to do what He would do.
When there is a problem we can't handle, we ask God for guidance and then make the best choices we know how to make in order to resolve the problem.
Not everyone waits for miracles in our lives.

Part of God-s purpose is to have a relationship with those who trust in Him. It is part of His glory to answer prayer. He can give you a job without you going out to look for one, but he has chosen to provide you a job through your job searching. In the same way, He can take care of your need without your asking him to, but He has chosen to do it through your praying for it. That way you know it really came from Him; it encourages you to maintain a prayer relationship with Him, and, believe it or not, He enjoys your company.

Prayer is not to ask God for our wants and needs only. It is to fellowship and show our love and devotion to our Creator. Prayer is a conversation much like you would have with someone who is sitting next to you. Because ultimately God is. He is always with us.
