Okay bear with my long question

I come from a large Irish family and we are all white. Except for my two twin mulatto cousins. The mother of the twins left her husband for a short time and dated a black man for a while which should explain the twins. Anyway, they live in a very small town which is almost completely white. One of my younger cousin innocently pointed out one day that the twins do not look like the rest of the family. (Not to be mean or anything, just asked in a way that children with no concept of race will ask). And they asked there mother about it. The mother refuses to discuss it with them. So for the time being these children seem to not realize that they are not just white. No one in my family is racist obviously but my aunt (the final authority on the matter) seems to want to avoid the issue which is probably because of the affair. So my question is, Is my aunt in the right not to discuss the issue of their race with them for now? Is it even an issue?

What if the Biblical version of God is not at all like the true Creator? What if the true Creator does not require us to follow dogma but only requires us to be good and just? What if Jesus Christ were just a man around whom a cult of divinity was created? Is this possible? If so, and it is true, would that not make zealots of all persuasions feel foolish?

I just got a Christmas bonus a little larger than expected and want to treat myself. I graduated from college a few years ago so I know there are a lot of things I could replace with nicer things but technically I already own them so why fix it if it is not broken is my motto. I kind of what to treat myself any suggestions?

I occassionally go to this family restaurant / bar and I met this
guy a few times - looks and acts straight - even talks abt "girlfriends" - of lately on occassion when we do make eye contact from accross the bar counter - he smiles and winks
i kinda smile and respond with a small hand wave - but he does this more than 3 /4 times . I do not wish to ask him abt this caus he seems a decent and friendly person - by the way he is Polish - could it be a normal gesture of friendliness ? or i cant help but wonder if he means to persue a gay friendship / relationship ?
HE IS SORT OF CUTE LOOKING _ SORT OF THE CUTE STRAIGHT GUY _

To one culture I'm considered either an 'apple' or a 'lost bird', yet to another I'm considered a "savage" or a "scrounger".

I was adopted when I was 2 and I'm a full blood Native Cree Indian, I've lived in 2 different countries, the UK and Canada and have never felt fully accepted by either, apart from my few true friends.

I know they are who should matter but why do people put so much emphasis on my background? I am who I am as a person, but I will reply honestly to the question "So what heritage do you have?", I just hate the unexpected hateful responses I get sometimes.

Does anyone else of either mixed race or living in a "different culture" to their own get this sometimes?

Deuteronomy 21:1-4. "1. If one be found slain in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him: 2. Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: 3. And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke; 4. And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley."

What kind of ridiculous ritual is this? A perfectly good cow gets beheaded, for what? How does beheading a cow affect the fact that a man is dead?

Could you PLEASE answer questions without publishing the entire Bible and Quran in your answer. Honestly, few people read these and often they are given a thumbs down just to close them so we do not have to scroll through them. The same goes for unblievers trying to use Biblical passages to make their points. Give a verse, make people look it up for heavens sake. These long discourses do nothing for any of us and are at least part of why people feel they are being preached to.

Or is God expected to follow the same rules we do? Because it seems to me that God's allowed to do all kinds of immoral stuff that we're not allowed to. Like flood people to death. Is it because he's our Creator, and that allows him to do the things he forbids us from doing?

I want to share a opinion I have about Christians. 1st of all I am a Christian for over 20 years. I think that because there are so many Christians that it's impossible for us to have a positive image in the public eye. There are hundreds of thousands of "Christians" out there, if not millions. Not all really take the idea of Christianity seriously. Many simply have grown up in a Christian home & view their religion as part of their identity & then, react when they feel they are being attacked (like here on YA). Others, are sincere in their faith but have not really explored it enough to articulate their views to others in a mature way. There are other points, but I am running out of space. I want to take another tack. If you were to examine any other belief system (religious or not) that was adhered to by the same number of people, you would have the same result. That is, a lot of dumb people saying stupid things that do not accurately represent the truth of the belief system.

I am desperate to see what Zeus has prepared for his lovers and worshippers in the Great Heaven in the Sky.

I want to see all those Christian paraplegics and blind and deaf and dumb "roam about Heaven all day".

"And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish and not that thy whole body be cast into Hell.

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish and not that thy whole body be cast into Hell." (Matthew 5:29-30)

Heaven is surely for disabled Christians by the words of Jesus.

Is it because they're ignorant? Do people not know that it's been an abbreviation for "Christos" (X is the Greek letter "chi") for well over a thousand years? Or is it just because they want a reason to be offended? If you personally are offended by it, is it for one of the reasons I gave or something different?
