I've noticed that good manners, social graces and customer services is becoming a thing of the past. Why? Many people don't hold the door for one another anymore, they don't smile at one another; they don't excuse themselves when they push past you in a store. People seem to be oblivious of ther surroundings.
I have a real problem with customer service. Since when has it become acceptable not to greet a customer when they approach? These days you're lucky of a salesclerk even looks at you or smiles when you get to the register. How about salesclerks who make you wait until they are good and ready to help you?

From what I gather some people do. Do you wish the end was near so that it would end all the senseless suffering around the world, like starvation in Africa and violence in Asia and the Middle East? Do you wish the end was here for a selfish reason, like maybe your life is not so great?

OR...

Do you hope that the end times are not close at all? Do you enjoy your life and want to keep enjoying it? Is this selfish with all the suffering that could be ended? Or do you think the end times are so bad you would not wish that upon the world at this time?

I mean, they've given it a try, it didn't take, are they supposed to read it again? What if they've read it 3 times (like me) and still seen it as a book full of interesting morality tales, but nowhere near the 'only absolute truth you'll ever need'?

I mean, you can't use the comeback 'read your bible' because I have, and the retort 'open your heart to Jesus or you'll be sorry' is simply in my mind your human nature kicking into self-defense mode. yes?

.....Some Christians in the U.S.A, sing the American national anthem in Church? & have American flags waving in front of there? Don't they know it's in insult to Non-Americans? It's like saying Jesus is American, I thought he was suppose to be *international*...Or I'm I wrong?....

I was gonna go to Disneyland last weekend (I live here in socal) and I almost crapped my pants when I saw that it's $63.00 PER PERSON to get into the park, for ages 3 to 10 it's $58.00 PER PERSON. I couldn't believe it!!! I was so shocked and dismayed. How many more people out there are sick of big corporations practicing price gouging just because they can? Needless to say, I didn't go to Disneyland!

What if they were early creations of God that He destroyed before finally deciding that us humans were the right ones to stick with. Ok so that way we both win. God created us and also some early models, but evolved us into what we are now. BAM!

Mukhtar Mai was once an anonymous Pakistani villager - but that was before she was gang-raped, apparently on the orders of local elders in a neighbouring village.

Now Mukhtar Mai, who is in her mid-30s, is writing her own internet diary, or blog, about her life and her concerns, as a woman from a remote village in southern Punjab.

Some Pakistanis - a significant minority - speak of Mukhtar Mai's disservice to the image of Pakistan, and the unbalanced view she gives of rural life.

"All of us sympathise with what happened to you. Everyone feels bad about that. Please now try to forget and stay at home, and don't make us a laughing-stock in the world," says one writer.

Another is equally outspoken: "What a shame! Are women in Europe and elsewhere not raped every day? The way certain Western organisations have given prominence to Mai in their reports - to me, it's a conspiracy to humiliate Pakistan."

"I accept that Mai has suffered; but I am against the things she did afterwards, exposing such incidents as really wrong, when the Pakistani government is trying to provide justice. She should stop it right now."

i found what i think is a really neat story about how this guy averages out how many saturdays the average person has in their lifetime. He did this when he was 65 & by averages figured he had about 1000 saturdays left in his life. So he buys 1000 marbles & each saturday gets rid of one marble. He said it sure made him set his priorities straight watching as the marbles got fewer and fewer. It really touched me. Anyway you get the gist.
I was thinking of buying just a couple marbles for each person that will be at my house this Christmas & printing the full story out & saying something along the lines of here's to helping you get started on your Saturdays. Or something like that anyway - will have to think of something.
Wrapping it up and putting them under the tree for everyone. But not saying who it is from. This will be in addition to thier regular gifts.
Good idea or too corny?
Plus if you think it is good - do i have them open marbles or story first?
