Not a proverb, but...
as a kid, I was put in a religious school. I did not like it. We were told to use Scripture verses to decorate our areas.
Well, Ecclesiastes 12:12 says..."much study is weariness to the flesh".
I put that passage up, & was told I had to remove it as it was contrary to the learning environment.
