We have shootings almost every day in a city that was once quite peaceful....and it's 95% black on black crime for the dumbest reasons....drugs, women. Since when did it become ok to just shoot someone you don't like or agree with!!??

I asked a question over here, and people just reacted "WITHOUT" undertanding the question being asked,it is frustrating sometimes. and I get bombarded with a judgmental answers.. WHY????Human nature is very bad at times and seldom do we see or hear people say the right thing in the right time....

I have a female friend (not very close,but close enough)who is a few years younger than myself (she's 19).Her parents are very very devout Catholics(Mass once a week in church,a mass weekly in their famliy home,1-2 bible study meetings each week,famliy prayer each Sunday for one hr..etc.) yet for the past year my friend has refused to participate in these various activities.In the past year,her parents have expressed their objection to her,but have never insisted on her attending,at most telling her that she was committing a motal sin. Recently my friend has approached me and told me that her parents told her that they have "finally seen the light and it's their responsibility for her faith while she is still living under the family home,and that she MUST attend mass,bible-study meetings in obedience to her parents".My friend has now left home this evening totally upset and angry with the whole situation(i think staying in a motel).I am also Catholic(not like her folks),what can I do?

are you showing your faith by not backing it up with reason? Do you agree that this age is the most "unintellectual" age, in terms of defending your faith, the world has ever seen? Do you believe in 1 Peter 3:15,16 and live your life accordingly?
If they ask questions, I point them to the cross. If they want to attack, bring it on! Are you a gutless Christian who cannot stomach the evidentuality of debating with anyone, EVEN from within the faith? Jesus Christ surely didn't sit on his hands while they were trying to trip him up!

this is dangerous: other americans will immediately hate you with an inexplicable fervor. This is probably the number one reason why madonna has suddenly turned into a pathetic joke in the u.s.a. I wonder if brits do the same thing to their compatriots that acquire american accents. there is something about linguistic self preservation at work here.
