It's not up to the atheists to disprove the existence of God..... it is as impossible for them to do so as it is for you to disprove the existence of the great muffin.
The requirement for proof lies in the hands of the ones who claim existence of a thing. Science has already laid waste to the Christian claim tha the Big Bang was ridiculous. Now Christians claim it as proof that "Let there be light" actually happened. Why didn't they agree with that 30 or 40 years ago?
The best that Science and Atheism can claim is that "There is no need for a God", and they consistently do that. The hermetically sealed mind is the one which is shut up with a book, and consistently fails to look at the evidence supporting the claim that there was no need for a God to "create" a universe.
Matter is shown to spring into existence spontaneously. There is no God saying "Let there be an electron, and like unto it, a positron". It simply happens, according to the laws of nature. There is no God saying "Let this object be hither, whilst at the same time being thither". Science simply creates an expirement showing that a single object can be in two places at the same time.
In truth, I've met few Christians who know more about the current wonders of science than the lies and propoganda that they hear from preachers on Sundays and Wednesdays. Rather than fact, they are taught to ridicule, with nothing to back it up except Genesis chapter 1. (Don't mention the mysterious 2nd creation).
As for your erudite first sentence.... virulent what? Virulent atheist? If an atheist were, wouldn't that mean that you were somewhat concerned? Does that mean that atheism is spreading? If it is spreading, how can it do so amongst hermetically sealed minds? Doesn't a mind need to be open to accept ANY ideas? Closed perhaps to myth, to unsubstantiated ideas. Who would be closed minded... the ones searching science for an answer, or those who claim to have had the same answer for 2000 years and refuse to investigate, using science, to search for the truth?

I am not a Christian. I have no theology but the bible and I have no need to define it in a way that separates me from Christ. I have been given to understand that Christianity itself is a religion. It is not only the creeds within it , but Christianity itself is a religion. I am a follower of Christ and my heartfelt prayer is that we all may be one as Jesus and the Father are one, in the Spirit. I have just watched a wonderful DVD that gives the history of Christianity , the first thousand years. This movie helped me to make my decision. I believe that Jesus is the Way, The Truth , and The Life and the Bible is true whether we agree about its meaning or not. I am now free to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and be about my Father's business every day in every way with all my heart. I believe in the restoration of the fellowship of believers as it was in the book of acts. I believe there is a remnant within Christianity of true believers and that just as Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar kept a remnant for God to one day return and rebuild so has God kept me within Christianity. It is time for the corn to shed the husk. It is the time of harvest. If any understand please join with me in this great adventure of faith.
Cathy out.

Why do feel that an Atheist must to substantiate his claim? Do you want his claim substantiated? It is not the Atheist business to substantiate it. He already knows your religion is nonsense. It is you who must for unknown reasons wish to have his claim substantiated. Why is this? Are you that insecure? That afraid of your belief in your shaky religion? Boo! xx

No, i did not notice.
The claim is yours too. Nobody can substantiate their claim. That's why religion involves FAITH. Its not logical and not something the most intelligent person in the world can deduce. Even says so in the bible.
Try to prove it either true or false and you will fail my friend.

You are not listening to do so you would have to pull your head out of your posterior. I believe what I believe and am comfortable and secure in my belief I do not need nor do I desire validation from you by proving my belief to your satisfaction. You on the other hand seem to need validation for your belief you do not have faith in or you would be secure in that belief and not need to attack as you are doing from fear. You are afraid. You are the antithesis of Christianity

Why is the God of the Bible so hateful, jealous, and vengeful?
I'd never treat my children that way.
I'd never punish my grandchildren for something my children did...Adam and Eve.
I'd never create someone who is out to harm my children...Satan
I wouldn't have my son tortured and killed so I could change rules only I have control over...Jesus
I wouldn't have my children killed if they didn't worship me enough.
God is love. Not the angry man you read about in the Old Testament

Just give it up. You're so filled with vitriol and hate that everyone knows better than to try to converse logically with you. Your last several posts illustrate that. If you truly want answers, start asking, start listening, and stop attacking.

Although Christ was using this statement in regards to the false religious leaders of HIS day...........it still fits here:
"LET them be. Blind guides is what they are. If, then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” -Matthew 15:14
