i havent got a problem at all with gypsies, where i live there are loads of gypsies, there is a camp site in my village, im good friends with a few of them. i dont know why people have a problem with gypsies, just because they live in caravans doesnt make them any different.
People will hear stories about gypsies causing trouble and then associate that with all gypsies which isnt the case! anybody can cause trouble it doesnt matter how you choose to live your life.
out of all the gypsies i have ever met and spoken to, i have only met one who was horriblle, i dont think he was horrible because he was a gypsy but because he was an arrogant, nasty piece of work, lol
take care x

There is a field near my house and they used to illagally park on there once evry 2years or so. It wasn't there field and they broke down a fence to get onto it, yet for some reason they couldn't be made to move even though they had no right to be there. How would you feel if someone moved into your trailer/caravan/whatever and made a mess and refused to leave?!
I worked at ASDA few years back and they used to park up in the car park, leaving their waste (human) and rubbish behind when they left. Staff often were abused verbally by them and they were caught stealing from the shop too.
Apart from the odd groups that are inconsiderate who make a mess, move onto to land illegally etc, I have no problems with them!

You can cause problems, like any body else,,so long as when you move on you bag up the sites rubbish and leave it to be collected,if you live on a private site, all well and good,,i have nothing personally against travellers,,it's usely the tinkers and didycoys that cause the problems,my dad used to love going to the sites,he had afew friends that was travellers, they used to do coursing and afew other things but there was never any problems and allot of the caravans was better that allot of homes I've been in..

When My daughter was little she and I were walking down by the river - the gypsies had pulled caravans onto the grass verge and I had to walk on there as there was no footpath. The pikey women were reakly nasty and threatened me and my daughter - who was 2 at the time. They threw a huge tub of cold water over me. Now we've got a family of them moved across the road. So far the police are here all the time, we've had stuff stolen by their visitors, stolen cars dumped ut side the house and 2 cars got axed in the street, I hate them with a vengeance.

Decide to take up residence on one of our fields that we needed to graze cows in over the summer. They padlocked the gates into the field with chain and would not allow us access to OUR field. Tried to talk to them rationally that it was OUR land needed to run OUR business and received abuse and threats of violence and claims that it was now their land. They let their dogs run loose which came to the farm and I could not let the children play outside as one of them went for her.
We went through the courts to get them off our land and when they left it was full of rubbish and hundreds of tyres which we have had to dispose of.
Our cows suffered as the field the gypsies were in was the biggest and the one we needed for most of the summer for them to graze in. As a result we had to open the sileage clamp to feed them which is feed for the winter, so we will have to buy more feed in for them early next year as there is now not enough. Their milk yields dropped as they had nothing to graze on for some of the summer, so we lost vital money for running the farm which is struggling as it is.
Is that enough or do I have to go into the amount of property that suddenly disappeared from our farm and neighbouring farms while they were hear and that suddenly stopped when they left??
I understand that not all gypsies are the same and it is only a proportion who behave like this and have this attitude but this is just my experience.

Travellers/Gypsies have never bothered me. They do leave an unsightly mess behind them when they move on though and that's the only thing I have against them. A lot of people don't like them and I've only once heard good about them. Until they are living near me or troubling me I can't really say anything bad about them. They live their way and who are we to judge them.

First of all - don't pay tax!
Live on other people's land - illegally!
and personally...........cause havoc in the community - vandalise phone boxes etc, also break into houses & steal stuff. Leave your crap everywhere when you finally move on.
