Hey everyone, I just have a quick question for Catholic followers:

I just dont understand how I have to confess my sins through a priest. Shouldn't I just confess them directly to God, since He is the one that actually does the forgiving, not the priest? The Bible says that everyone is equal in the eyes of God. I am wondering why there are people that are presented to be better than I am to God, and THEY have to pray for MY forgiveness??? It just doesn't make sense.

The bible talks about Saul, and how he became a Christian after persecuting them for years. He didnt pray to someone else, but he cried out to the Heavens in confession himself. Are you denying that Saul (later known as Paul) was not truly saved because of not confessing through a priest?

I want to clarify that I am not bashing Priests, nor the Catholic faith here, just simply asking what makes some people better that I to God.

Thanks to all of you who helped out with the first one, i need to phrase the ? a little differently this time for another set of data. Please answer both questions honestly. Thanks in advance:

Pedophiles say they were born that way, they like children and they say its not their fault. Why do you accept this argument from homosexuals but no pedophiles.

Before you tell me the 'consenting adults blah blah blah', shouldnt you accept someone who says they like children but will not act upon their urges? If they say they will not act upon their urges why dont you accept them, and say they were just born this way.

100 years ago both acts (homosexuality and pedophilia) were considered abominations. People accept one now, will they soon accept the other?

I used to be a member of PETA...but now I see no point in PETA...because there are more important issues like "global warming" or AIDS, etc. So what's the point of PETA spending all their money on websites and campigns brainwashing people like me, that wearing wool is bad? I ' like animals , The ones in the zoo , in small cages. I like the monkeys. They are awsome. I dont want to be in a cage for 24 hours per day and 365 days per year. But they are beautiful.
