Islam and Judaism is out of the question. Both of them completly forbid eating pork, because pigs are considered to be unclean.
Hindus do not eat beef. At all. Ever. Nope. So that one's out, too.
I don't know of any religion that forbids eating mutton (sheep or lamb), but any group that is vegetarian or vegan will have a problem with you eating meat at all.
There are a LOT of religions left for you to consider. It's a bad idea to choose a religion based on whether or not they allow you to eat meat. There are lots of other things to consider, like what their teachings are on sin, forgiveness, marriage, life after death (heaven, hell or reincarnation?) homosexuality (sin or not?) gay marriage (ok or not?) abortion (sin, bad but allowable in extreme circumstances, or not a sin?), and how often to attend religious services (once a week, twice a week, every day, several times a day?).
I would suggest going to Beliefnet ( www.beliefnet.com ) and taking their quiz, the belief-o-matic ( http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html ).
The quiz will point to the religions that most closely match your personal beliefs, and you can read up a bit on all religions to find the one that's best for you.
Good luck on your journey!

Why do you need a doctrine to follow. All your doing is setting yourself up for a disappointment. Do what i do. I believe in God and that he has sent certain people to teach us about this world(Jesus being one of them). I think the Bible is a book with a lot of knowledge and wisdom, but I don't follow the bible blindly. I use my faith, science, history, philosophy, life experience, and common sense to guide me. I pray, but mostly i just talk to God. Its crazy how it works. I believe in direct connection to god meaning i don't need a preacher telling me what god is about or what he believes god is about because he really doesn't know. Great part, i don't have any food restrictions, i never fast, and i don't' put my faith in other peoples hand so i can never be disappointed. Yup Life Is Great. I think I'm gonna go have a Pork, Beef, Mutton Sandwich After This. Enjoy

you desire to to grow to be a Baptist. they are continually having those potluck suppers, and picnics with ham, and burgers and sausages. Many different christian demoninations are stable for this too. purely submit to in innovations what Jesus suggested "it is not what is going right into a guy's mouth that defiles him" Our hearts are depraved, and we are all sinners, we could repend and settle for Jesus(the Son of God) because of the fact the sacrifice for our sins so as that we are able to be unfastened from sin and share in His advantages in heaven. Bon Apetit my chum.

If you live in America, be a Christian. That is the easiest because that is the primary religion. Go to church. If you don't like it, find another church and go to it. Christianity comes in every "flavor".
