why is o.k. to be an american.?

apparently nobody respects us nobody gives us any credit and our tax money apparently isnt needed around the world and when people come here from mexico and other nations they dont want to be american they want the same old crap they left but with rights they never had or jobs they could never create where would these people be if not for whitey.

You seriously have a huge chip on your shoulder. Why do you assume that everyone who moves to the U.S. is taking a job away from another American? There are plenty of immigrants who create jobs, as well.

And don't be so cocky about "whitey" and all his power. Pretty soon we Americans may be the ones begging the Chinese for jobs. As it is, there are plenty of Americans moving to China, at least on a temporary basis, to help set up manufacturing processes in a country where the work is cheap and the workers don't have the attitude you do. Wouldn't it be cheaper to let in a few low-wage-earning Mexicans, some of whom might actually even turn out to be job-creating entrepreneurs, and keep the work here in the U.S. rather than ship it overseas?

As for why people of other nations, don't "respect" Americans, the answer is two-fold. First, many actually do respect and admire Americans as people. But many also sincerely despise certain American foreign policies and resent the negative effects those policies have had upon their part of the world. And the reason that America is apparently judged more harshly than other countries on its foreign policy is because we claim to be the "leader of the free world."

When you claim to be the top dog, you better keep your nose extra clean, because the other dogs will be watching every time you take a dump.

It doesnt matter why its ok it just is. The reason everyone doesnt like us is because we have the best of everything and everyone else is resentful because they dont. Because you are an American you can go to college and graduate and become successful and have what you want with hard work in some of these other countries you can work all you want and only afford to buy a sega genesis as a luxury. You see you should be grateful of all the great things that you have here in this wonderful country, many people have died for us to have what we now have and many people have forgotten that and they take it all for granted. I wouldn't say "NOBODY". The Eurppeans were very glad to have us take part in WW2. The British were almost hamburger by the time we entered but they were quite appreciative and have assisted us a number of times. The French are WEIRD in showing their "THANKS". The Italians were glad that we came in when we did. A number of the Jewish individuals that lived through the oppression of Hitler were glad that we also enterred. I guess what I am trying to say is... the media are playing us as the BAD GUYS in every sense to get us out of Iraq. I am not really hep on being there but when we enter a war, I WANT TO WIN! I do not want to see our boys come home as they did from Vietnam with the media KILLING THEM! They are ALL HEROES for going!! We have been the good guys in almost every military action that we have enterred. The Canadian neighbors that we have are not big on the military but they have been in our corner a number of times. We have stepped out and assisted the Soviet Union and a number of her associates as well. YES, it is honorable to be an American. I LOVE America and all she stands for. I do not like our being called "whitey" because I know a lot of True Americans that are not Caucasian (white). Have a great holiday.

We have a strong economy and tons of jobs overall in the country. Compared to other countries, this country is pretty damn good, and immigrants want to come here for the freedom.

We don't think we have freedom but just look. We can say what we want, wear what we want, and have the job that we want if we look in the right places. In some countries you have to be careful on what you say, and you can't wear what you want. Some countries even women can't carry money or own land, how stupid is that.

There would be nothing in the modern world without Anglo Saxon White males. Think about it; the whole world wants to come to the U.S., U.K., Canada, Austrailia and New Zealand. Why? Because their countries are crap and run by corrupt MORONS! The people in these nations don't have enough intelligence, desire or backbone to make themselves stronger and more free. Therefore, they deserve to live in poverty and ignorance. You don't see people lining up to move to Mexico, India or Uganda and you won't. The non-Anglo-Celtic-Nordic world is pretty much crap! It irates me because they do come over here and take the jobs. There are many US Citizens without jobs because a foriegner has filled the spot. I don't think we should let any forienger in the US. Let them stay in their own countries and create jobs and improve the countries.
